Many are at this situation (including myself). They send reminder emails asking for updated passport copies, pcc etc. We can send at that time. We need to wait.

I called CIC call centre and they told me that the only requirement is to have a valid passport. If you have renewed your passport, update CIC through their website or email. Dont forget to mention your Application number. Regarding PNP, there is a form which you fill and send to their office. Might vary for different provinces. I'd suggest, call them up too.

Best wishes.

General Discussion

Sudden medical strategy change(inlander) and shown no or slow movement for inland applicants from sydney... Do you think it's because of they want to slow down/pause all processing for upcoming election. To what extend do you agree or disagree? If positive, than the consequences could be devastating or welcoming? What's your view?

In my view, based on last 10 year immigration rules change its just getting more tighter and Canada tries to get top level cream. So I dont see that the election has effect on current applications being processed except that the future immigration policies will affect the criteria of getting qualified.
Last time they cancelled applications due to too many applications and too many years of delay in clearing them up.
I dont think that the immigration officers are delaying applications due to waiting for political party to form the government.
Actually if we see the processing time for Sydney or Ottawa is much better every month. Oct-Dec applicants are being issue DM and PPR. So better than 15 months listed time.

I think that they started issuing MR and general reminder emails in batches for most of the applications month-wise which is good in one way. But some 3 months pause which is puzzling. Dont know why. We will have to wait and see.
As long as they finish processing within 9-12 months its fine. As too many applications are being processed inland, one can wait for 10-12 months for a PR which is fair for me (even though i wish they issue visa in 6 months but i think that they are trying to restructure their process every year (every month - the recent MR and reminder email in batches show so) and clearing paper based anyway which will eventually help but not for this year or next).

So do you mean they can cancel your application even after you pass medical and Criminal check ? Or at what stage they may cancel the application?

No lifeonedge they cannot cancel if the application is provincial nomination... they can only cancel the program if it is made by cic... like the CEC application before and the FSW program those two category program can be cancel anytime CIC want because that program came from there office... but the category we are applying is for Provincial nomination which is the province have a solid support from is for our permanent residency... CIC can only act for refusing the application if they find out the application is incomplete... thats all... but nevertheless everything will work fine... its just a matter of waiting...and more patience and trust to God!

Hopefully April applicant will be issue our MR anytime....

It doesnt not matter if medical/criminal stage was passed when they were cancelled but got cancelled. But it happened because they were admitting without any intake restructions even though they had annual quota of 250k.

But now the intake itself is restricted based on quota. So now this rejection scenario is not applicable.

Come on guys stop talking about rejection! Lets be positive here :)

And for those who are March inland applicants give us MR good news please :P

i agree with ness12

he is right. there is no chances of rejection in PNP ( exceptions are criminality medical or some weird reason)

Your application would be sent to VO, the VO will contact you if they require any further documents. They will then instruct you on how to send what to where. Unless requested do not send anything as this may delay your processing.

Thank you for your interest in Canada.

Thanks FSWCIO for your informative reply. I have sent my application to CIC on 15/09/2015 via FedEx. CIO has already received my application on 18/09/2015. Now its a wait game, right? Shall I receive AOR from CIO after 2-2.5 months? Another thing is that, how old should be the PCC as I already applied for my PCC from Japan and I may receive after one month, approximately. That means when I will receive PCC from Japan in my hand, it will be almost 2-3 months old from the date of issuance. Is there any chance CIC (i.e. VO) may request for new PCC from Japan, again. A bit confused about this. I need your expert comments on this issue.

Thanks and regards,

Hi everyone

I am just woundering about ecas. Yesterday me and my friend are just checking our ecas and we observe one wierd thing. He is May 2015 applicant and i am June 2015 applicant. He got his EP on 31 july and i got on 17 august but still both of us are waiting for medical. Now yesterday on my ecas the status shows me "Inprocess" with 3 lines in there (1. Application received.... 2. Send EP.... 3. Process started)

But my friend who is may applicant and july EP ecas status shows "Application received" with just one line we received you application on .... date

Is there any changes CIC had made between may and june applicants.

The date of the PC must not be prior to 3 months you submitted the PR App to CIO. CIO accepts PC not older than 12 months.
