Hi guys,

the question is a little bit out of topic yet, I've received recently nomination from BC ( Skilled worker stream inland, I'm currently in Vancouver),
and is going to send application to CIC paper based - can you please advise whether the Identity and Civil Status documents (birth certificates, marriage etc) can be in copies with certified translation to English or it should be notarized copies and certified translation?

thank you for your answer

Certified copies with Translator Certificate.

what's the status of your application at the moment?
I got medical request after 18 months of application submission and now its been 5 months since medical passed and RPRF paid amd I am still awaiting the DM and PPR

This is my first post on this forum :

CIC received my paper based application on June 16th 2016 and its over 14 months now and still waiting medical request

My application status online just shows "in process"

Too long of a process and no updates on the application status yet.

wow, really sad news about period time.

I am in land applicant, how should i check my visa office ?
Visa office probably sent notification mail when they received file. for in-land and USA, visa office is Sydney.

for those in BC, if don't get your PR before your work permit expires, you can get in touch with BC PNP and they will give issue you a new work permit. You just have to ensure you have a job at the time because the work permit cannot be an open one..it will be for a particular employer

The time frame is annoying but if your work visa extends past the time line then you should have nothing to worry about

As far as I know, if a lot of background checks has to be done, then it will take that long. At least that's what a BC PNP officer told me. Everything thing going smoothly, it should take at most 15months

Seeing this speed, the tortoise can also be shocked.
