When it comes to stage until first AOR, INLAND/OUTLAND categorization is irrelevant since regardless of your country of residence it is all processed at CIO Sydney and thereafter the processing varies once transferred to your local visa office. Hope this helps!

oh!! so that's how it works?

Did you link your application online within seven calender days?

If you did, they should ask you to upload whatever form online.

However, if you did link your application, then I suggest you give CIC a call. Specifically see if you can get the number to the NS office
-------
I did link my application exactly the next day that I received their email and I also received a confirmation email that it has successfully been linked. The problem is I already sent all the requested documents and based on these docs they issued AOR for me.
Do you have any number for Sydney, Nova Scotia office?

Thanks,

For stuffs like this, I HIGHLY recommend DHL, not even UPS or Fedex.
DHL is good - in fact recommended by the Accra Visa Office. UPS and FedEx are equally good. I used UPS when I submitted my application to Nova Scotia. It was cheaper and it got them in 4 days.

Thank you for the reply. One more question:

I applied under BC post-graduate PNP stream (phd degree in-land): application received on Jan. 27, 2017 and got my AOR on March 15, 2017.
My question is: I received a letter via email 3 weeks ago that I was requested to submit some docs such as copy of passports, schedule A (travel info.), PR fee payment, and PCC, while I had already submitted all of them (before getting AOR).
I am wondering if somebody here has received such a letter and what I have to do. (Of course, at the end of letter, it states that ignore this letter if it does not apply to you).

is there anybody here with the same situation like me?

Cheers
I didn't get any such letter. Since they already gave the caveat that you can ignore if it doesn't apply to you, then I think it may be a generic letter. In my view, there won't be any harm in resubmitting those documents. Remember it is better to be sure than to be sorry.

First time posting here

Is there anyone who applied PR through paper-based because their work experience does not qualify for an express entry but got a provincial nomination through the International Student with job offer stream?

My job is under NOC A
I do not have enough work experience since I only started in Jan 2017

Today, I was told by the CIC call center officer that since my job category is A, paper-based application is not possible for me and I have to apply through EE. Due to the fact I am do not qualify under EE yet, I will have to wait till I have one year work experience to start my EE profile.

I am sure if that is case.

Is there other people who receive provincial nomination under NOC A but applied under paper based?
Hi Zilin,

I'm in a same situation as you. I have experience in NOC A but not enough score for Express Entry. So, I applied for PNP thru Employer Job offer stream.

Did you apply for Paper based PR application and they rejected? or You just simply called CIC?

I'm wondering the answer given by CIC for our situation is not correct or doesn't apply for us. May be if you try to reach out to Visa office from Sydney, Nova Scotia may answer differently.

If Ontario nominates you, then it means there is a way to submit an application.

Even in my situation, I'm on implied status and I have work permit extension letter from OINP. But CIC sounds like I may be rejected for new work permit with OINP or I may not be eligible for applying one. I think, its better to apply and see what happens next.

Please let me know if my view on this situation is wrong.

Thanks!

Re: CIC PR Thread [PNP - Paper Based Application]

hi
i have been waiting for the medical request for almost 9 months after AOR. 11 months gone since Application sent. Dont know what the Abu Dhabi Visa Office is upto. Although i have seen some cases being processed within 5-6 months of submission(same Visa Office).
Let's see how much more wait is still there for my application.

what's the status of your application at the moment?

There isn't an active thread talking about what happens after you received your provincial nomination and discussing the paper based application process to CIC. All threads are about applying via the Express Entry system.

I have recently received my provincial nomination from Ontario, within the Masters degree (no job offer needed) stream.

The timeline in CIC's website has been standing at 15 months for a while now. Is this accurate or should we prepare for longer?

How long does it take to receive an AOR from CIC for paper-based applications? I assume they have a massive backlog right now.

what is the status of your application at the moment?

Any other discussion, comments, and tips are highly appreciated :)

Thanks,

I don't have any number. However, I imagine a creative google search might return something. If I were in your shoes, I will call up CIC and actually talk to an agent. I would give my application number to the agent for he/she to pull up my application and figure out what actually is going on. I recommend calling CIC 30mins or at most an hour after they open for business else you will sit on the phone all day trying to get through to an agent.
