Hi All,

In relation to the recent post by Staralahaider about CHC London response and the CIC immigration plan for 2011, I've gone through the report and couldnt find any priorities. The report showed the NOC of high admitted applicants, maybe the CIC is slowing down these apps nowadays.

What do you think?

High NOC's fr admitted visas in 2009:
  • College and Other Vocational Instructors
  • Registered Nurses
  • Computer and Information Systems Managers
  • Financial Auditors and Accountants
  • University Professors
  • Specialist Physicians
  • Financial Managers

Report is available here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/annual-report2010/index.asp

Cheers

Mezo, I think you are right. Priorities are not mentioned there and VOs may be slowing down on those NOC which had high number of PRs issued in the previous year. But at the same time CICs practice of giving preference to post 26th june applicants seems unfair just as it was to give preference to post feb 2008 applicants when others had waited for years for immigration..
But CIC has got some skewed logic and thats how they work..

I agree Sapana. CIC is absolutely irrational.

I will keep digging, there must be some public info on their priorities. At least, we need some direction, if for some NOC's the visa won't be issued this year or next year, so it's fair to notify applicants so they manage their current and future lives.

Good luck to all

This whole immigration process is a "holier than thou" black box. people put their lives on hold for the PR and then get tangled in and endless waiting game..

I applied in April 2010, could have applied after 26th june as my NOC was there in the 29 list as well.. I though that I have a lead of almost 3 months so processing would be faster so decided against withdrawing the application and applying again and now I see post 26th june applicants (people who applied as late as sept) getting MR and RPRF requests.. Its so frustrating..

Dear All,

I found and skimmed thru 2010-2011 Report on Plans and Priorities of Citizenship and Immigration Canada which CIC submitted to the parliament. No useful information for us in relation to processing priorities. :(

This just refers to some type of gender study. CIC is trying to have more female applicants for these NOC. In no way does it refer to slowing down these applications.

Yes it was shown as part of gender comparison but the table was labeled as where applications were received in high numbers. I assume that since they received high numbers in university professors, and there is no market demand any more, then they would delay it as well get that NOC removed. Could be!

Absolutely!! ... Some people says its better to have waited to make better plan for life which I have reason not to agree....To me one can rather well plan for life and take time once they have their final decision done......but the time you lost in waiting for uncertain period is simply a wastage... many even have to pay and compromise a lot in life for these (Think about those even waiting for 7-8 years!!! OMG!!!)... Anyway nothing to do.. we all know its the way system goes.....and we can't be of any exception

I think the priorities are as:

1. Post 26 June all 29 NOC's.
2. AEO's
3. Pre 26 June NOC's other then 0111, 0213, 1111, 4121 & 4131
4. 0111, 0213, 1111, 4121 & 4131
5. Between 28 Feb 2008 to 28 Nov. 2008/ Pre 28 Feb. 2008
