You are right in principle. For people who applied prior to Feb 2008 and knew they expect a 48 month waiting period, it's logical for them to move on with life, but for me and guess you, we are post Feb 2008, and belong to the so called fast track, so I assumed once I applied that it will take 12-15 months maximum, hence the new business plan I had then in mind and all related funds were frozen and decided that I won't do anything about it. I can't start a business for a year and then leave it behind. For my case, I would have needed at least three years to break-even and then think of debuting someone to lead it, which is not as easy by all means. My decision then was to hold it for a year and so then reconsider.

Obviously, we will keep waiting and reconsider all of our live decisions including this one.

Cheers

I think the priorities are as:

1. Post 26 June all 29 NOC's.
2. AEO's
3. Pre 26 June NOC's other then 0111, 0213, 1111, 4121 & 4131
4. 0111, 0213, 1111, 4121 & 4131
5. Between 28 Feb 2008 to 28 Nov. 2008/ Pre 28 Feb. 2008

Yes, I tend to agree with you Yukon. The CIC has to demonstrate to the minister and the parliament that they are doing well for the new changes on the immigration system and their decisions for post 26June were right. They have to show that no backlog is created for post 26June and they are so effective.

Weird!

You have hit the nail on the head !!!

Really WEIRD but true. So get ready for another backlog & then another backlog with the new rules coming in May/June 2011 !!!!
And to top it all, CIC will be reducing quotas every year henceforth.

situation can can go anyway with elections coming up.. i guess if the current ruling party comes in Govt. again they will carry on with aggressive immigration induction while nothing is for sure of another party comes into Govt.....

Awesome! Then Yukon I suggest we start a branding excersize then:

Post 26 June: Backlog Smurfs
Pre 26 June: Backlog Snorkels
Pre 28 Feb: Baclog Gurus

For all those who agree; raise your hands!

Yes you are right. There are so many decisions, personal, investment...etc are pending to know which direction we take in our life with this immigration journey!

You are absolutely right on this part.
My money is stuck in bank(POF & some more) and I can't do anything about it.
Wanted to buy a home and car. But all things pending due to this immigration.

I have not switched jobs, developed BP, can't concentrate on my work, keep thinking about this all the time, all planning is wasted etc. etc.....
There should be some adaptability points for all the trouble we go through....!! :P

Well it seems to be different at different visa offices.

London, Damascus and Buffalo have large numbers of post-June-26 applicants but nobody has received even a 2nd AOR yet, even though some of the applications were send to the visa office over 3 months ago.

Given that Feb2008-June2010 applicants are receiving PPRs and Med Requests from London it doesn't really suggest that post-June-26 applicants are getting priority if nobody has heard anything in over 3 months?

I guess it may be too early to tell yet, but certainly at London there is no suggestion that post-June-26 are getting any priority.

London is overburdened with processing of applications for many countries. It's a matter of time though, because once London will start with medicals, it will come in a flourish !!

Historically London has always been the laggard, but don't worry, they will also process the post 26 June applicants faster then the speed at which they usually process applications of pre 26 June.

CIC has a point to prove to the minister & the parliament, so London will be joining the party soon!!

I remember applicants in the post Nov. 2008 system, who applied during Jan to April 2009 period were getting Visas as fast as in 4-5 months from the time of submission at CIO to Final result (especially in New Delhi)!!

CIC has a point to prove as much as it had at that time!
