CIC Ghost Updates for Study Permit

Hi Folks,

I applied for study permit on May 15th from VFS Islamabad. Medical was requested on May 28th and was passed on June 5th. I got first ghost update on June 14th, 2nd on July 18th followed by a third one on July 19th. But i didn't get any email informing me about these updates and status is also same i.e We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements & Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made. BG Checks tab : We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Any one experiencing the same thing or observed it in past?
Can anyone confirm what these updates mean as my status is same and i'm not sure at what stage my application currently is.

Any relevant guidance will be appreciated.

I saw somewhere on this forum that. Whenever visa officer opens your file you will receive this Ghost update. Since their system is automatic. If they make any changes then it will automatic update your account otherwise ghost update. I hope you get it.

I got a ghost update yesterday. In all I got 5 such updates so far. I applied on paper on 12th June, Karachi VFS and linked online on 16th June, Medical passed on 6th July, Since then many updates in between but application is still in process.

I got my status changed from submitted to application/profile update ,and that changed back to submitted after some hours , do anybody experienced it?
