I cant imagine anything that could be more important than attending to this.

Even the thought of missing this seems crazy, and not showing up just proves that it's not really that important to you, otherwise you would be there.
I doubt they would make any attempt to re-schedule after you not showing up, they would probably follow up with a letter saying your application has been revoked and you must leave.

But who knows I guess, the whole concept of just not showing up makes me cringe.

I don't really see what value a post like this has except to put down the original poster. You don't know what's going on in their life right now. I had a friend miss a citizenship oath ceremony and it was rescheduled. You shouldn't just assume someone who missed it "just didn't care enough". Things happen beyond our control.

I think the issue that most people posting here are having is that the original poster is acting like they won't take initiative to reschedule the interview, that they expect CIC to do it for them. I understand if something comes up and it's really serious so you can't make it, but you should actively take control and reschedule. The OP appears to not care; it seems that if CIC doesn't contact them to reschedule, they'll just abandon their application, which doesn't seem right to me.

they will give me options right? not just close my file?
They might, but as far as I know they are not obligated to since you didn't take the initiative to reach out to them and try to reschedule.

well life happens.....hopefully they do or I will have to start all over again :'(
I think most people would be able to accept the excuse "life happens" if there was a major medical reason that prevented you from traveling to your interview or a serious money issue or even a death in the family, but simply saying you're "busy" and refusing to even call the CIC to reschedule or find out even how to notify them that you are unable to attend on that date regardless of the reason shows you do not take this process nearly as seriously as you should, regardless of whatever the excuse for not attending was. Multiple people tried to help you here and you didn't listen to any of them. It is your own fault if you have to start the process all over again. Multiple people tried to help you here and you didn't listen to any of them.

I dont mind starting over but I rather have a new date for landing....save time
are you for real ? what's your status now ? at bets you are on a Visitor Visa or open work permit , either one of them will expire soon .
what make you believe a new one will be giving to you ?
you said you have not paid your lading fees , that makes your interview not a landing Interview , you are not going to a convenience store and pay in person .

Its may take very longtime for you to receive any communication from CIC . that makes your situation even worst .

I have to ask what the heck prevented you from attending the interview? I am really curious.
