Hello all,

CIC asks me to upload Letter of Employment, Offer of employment and Current employment records. I believe all documents are same. I am little bit confused. Please someone explain. are they different documents or same.

There are placeholders for letter of employment and offer of employment for those who claim 50/200 points for having a valid job offer.

If you're not claiming such points then you answered incorrectly a question in the intended work section.

I am currently working in canada with a valid work permit that is exempt from LIMA (Postdoc) I selected NO for questions related to LIMA. If I answered incorrectly, my points should have jumped to 510.

The very first question should've been a "no" if such is not the case then that's why you have those placeholders.

I have job offer for one year. Should I select NO for the question

Does XXX have a job offer in Canada?
The offer must:
be for full-time and for at least one year
meet different requirements depending on type of job (i.e. some need apprenticeships and certification) and
be non-seasonal for Federal Skilled Workers.

Answer is "no"

If you answer "yes" the following questions refer to those on LMIA or LMIA exempt work permits which are employer specific - only those looking to claim 50/200 points should answer "yes"

Thanks.. I selected no and those details are gone...

DiePiero, my company has extended my offer letter till May of next year. Can I select "yes" for the question and claim 50 points?

Unless you have an offer stating that you'll be working for a year after obtaining PR there is no guarantee that what you have will suffice.

DelPiero, Thanks. I selected the answer as "no" and still it's showing the additional 50 points. Will it after some time/days that the points will be decreased or I should do something else?

Hey Buddy,

Just curious, what NOC did you select?

Hi DelPiero07, Sorry to ask it again. I selected YES while filling my EE profile. BUt, I changed to NO as I am not claiming 50 points for my job. Is it ok to select NO after receiving ITA? Thanks.

I am having the same situation too and wondering if I should decline the ITA and change it to NO or just submit the ITA with a LOE
