Hai,Hi Friends,
I made my GIC payment today.
I faced two issues : The bank where I am holding account (Axis Bank) was totally clueless about where to put "ISBO 2020" ! They said there was no such column/space in the RTGS form where these words could be mentioned. Upon my insistence, they asked me to write these words in "special mention" column. I did that. They showed me that the payment was received and accepted by beneficiary bank (Standard Charted Bank). Do I need to worry ?
Secondly, the form is A2/Declaration form ( not only A2). It is declaration under FEMA. Is this declaration form also to be signed, scanned and mailed to the bank ?
Kindly enlighten me.
Regards
Cibc email id pleaseCIBC insists that the sending bank has to sign and send the A2 form to them but the bank in India won't do that because as per them A2 form is to be sent only when money goes out of the country from their bank. Since, they are sending money to SC bank located in Mumbai, bank won't sign it so you yourself have to fill, mention rtgs number and sign the A2 form and send it to CIBC.
Got it .In A2 form they have asked to fill AD code ,Form no and all .What to fill in that spacePlease read the instructions sent by cibc. Every detail will be mentioned in their correspondence with you. Their email ID also.
Thank you so much .I did it .In A2, just fill the rtgs no., name and branch of bank from where you sent the money, account no from which money was sent, and sign it with date. Your name and home address and other details should be already printed on A2. That is it. Scan and send it to those 2 email IDs.
I have received my GIC letter .Thank you for your guidanceThank you so much .I did it .
Thanks Neelam !Hai,
Payment completed, right!! Then,
You have to fill the A2 form, put your signature also, and send the scanned copy to CIBC in an e-mail. Then, upload the filled A2 form and GIC payment copy in the CIBC account.
This is what I did.
