Hi, I had sponsored my 6 year old child and the embassy asked for authorization through court order to take child to Canada (I'm divorced). The case is still pending in the court but the embassy in the meantime rejected the application; although i kept the embassy updated on all the events which were going on. Can someone please tell me the process to appeal the decision.

Hi

There is no point in appealing. An appeal would take years, cost you thousands of dollars and all be for nothing because the application was legitimately refused. CIC was under no obligation to wait for you to obtain the court papers; that is something that you should have had sorted prior to applying.

Wait until you have the proper court authorization to take the child and then submit a brand new sponsorship application.

Will this refusal have any impact on my future sponsorship applications?

It will not impact your future sponsorship application as long as you have resolved the issues you have before the court. If you have sole custody and permission for the child to live in Canada you will be okay. All you need to do is include the explanation as to why the child was refused the first time and show that the issue has been resolved
