Children names in application form

We are filling separate application for my wife and for me. Do we need to mention children names on both the applications or just one?

You cannot leave any section blank. When you and your wife both have children you cannot leave children names and details blank in any.
You have to complete all applications in full. Or if you apply together all will be returned.

As the OP is filing separate applications from his spouse, only one of the parents includes the application for the children in his/her application.

1. Childrens names have to be entered by both parents, but only one parent includes the children's applications.

Even when filing separate applications (filling separate applications? his typo!) he need to mention the children names and all details asked about the children in both applications.

Why does he want to file the applications separately? I heard it is one of the red flags at CIC. Is that right?
