Hi,
My wife applied for child tax benefit. Today we have received a letter says few things missing in your letter. I am writing the exact wording of letter below:-
"You did not provide your spouse or common law partner's statement of income. The Canada child tax benefit is using family net income. We use the income reported in Canadian income tax for any years or parts of years that the person is in Canada. We also need to know the income your spouse or common law partner received (in Canadian dollars) before entering Canada to complete our calculation. Please note that he or she has to file income information even if the amount is nil ($0.00).

You: 2012 $ ____________ 2011 $ _________________

Spouse or common Law partner: 2012 $ _______________ 2011 $ _____________"

I have landed on 25 December 2012. My wife is not working at the moment. I am working but when we applied I was not working and wrote nil in income section.
What should we write in above income information of 2011 and 2012?

Regards

Thanks hmisabpk. They have sent a form with return letter so I have to fill & send that form. Should we attach any proof of income of 2011 and 2012 i-e income tax return or simply write the total income of the 2011 and 2012 in empty lines as mentioned above.
