child first passport - consent letter required

i am applying for my child canadian first passport and her father is in canada i have completed the form ppt 042 and other documnets are ready.my husband is canadian scitizen and my case for fmily sponsorship is under process . to apply for my child i need consent letter because my husband is in canada rytnow and can not sign the application form. what should we do? should i ask him to sign the application form and then send it to me for process or as per candian consulate i shud go for consent letter? if i shud go for consent where my husband will get that?

i mean is this is the simple letter written and signed by my husband or he will hav to get that from somewhere?
