hey nitin u applying on your own or thru consultant...
Well, i'm applying through consultant even if i know the whole process & documentation. But i don't want to take any chance/risk which may delay my application process. One of my friend has got the PR last month & he also applied through the same consultant. What about you bro?

Dear Nitin,

As i mentioned earlier, your documents are good to go. Even we are 99.9% sure, why leave that .1% if you can arrange it. I think you can declare previous year's income voluntarily. In case it does not come into the tax bracket then there is no need to worry. Either there could be a very nominal panely or tax department will issue you a warning. The whole idea is to apply with a peace of mind. Take it this way, in case you are called in for a selection interview and VO has asked you for ITR'S, what will you do ?. VO's don't accept any documents that are made after an explaination has been required from you.

In case you can't arrange the documents you can still bet safe on 99.9% chances. ;D ;D
Hey harry,

Just to give you an update regarding my work experience docs, here is the updated list :

1. Appointment Letter
2. Promotion Letters
3. Salary Increment Letter
4. Reference Letter
5. Salary Slips
6. Bank Statement for the salary credit proof
7. Income Tax Docs

Now tell me, are they more than enough? I'm not attaching any photographs working in the kitchen, it sounds kiddish i guess.

One more thing, would i need to attach all these originals with the application? Please suggest.

HI Nitin,

Great work buddy !!!. If you are going to submit these documents i am sure you will have your visa. It will be alright in case you dont want to attach photographs. Please send originals of the following documents:

1. Appointment Letter
2. Promotion Letters
3. Salary Increment Letter
4. Reference Letter
5. Bank Statement for the salary credit proof (please keep attested photocopies of the above documents with you for your records).

Send attested photocopies of the following.

1. Salary Slips
2. Income Tax Docs

Nitin, i would strongly suggest you to apply yourself. Honestly to apply for Canadian PR is a cakewalk once you know the basics. Just read application forms twice and you will master the process. These consultants are the biggest thugs and printing very easy money. They are nothing more than just courier guys. The members of this forum are always here to help you out and you can personally contact me anytime regarding the process. My charges will be a pizza when you reach Canada ;D ;D ;D.

Thanks harry for the great insight. You've really boosted my confidence to apply on my own, so now, i'll definitely apply by myself.

Talking about your pizza, you're more than welcome bro. I'm hoping to see in next year in Canada. Will do a BIG party. 8)

Cheers,

Dear Crook,

It is not about your case being weak without Tax documents. Your case is good to go without Tax documents but as i said why leave that last .1% if we can arrange it ?. It's all about peace of mind ;D ;D.

Hi guys, I actually applied already, but might be refused because of gap reached, I was reading your posts and only one thing hit me, do not overdue anything, they do background check very strict, so they will eventually visit your previous employer, and check your references, so lot of documents proofing your work is not necessery, they would check it anyway. You didn't file your taxes is a bit bell ringing for them, in Canada you have no such a thing like working off the book, because if you have worked, your employer is obligated have your salary as his cost of income so he shows your salary to tax dept or IRS whatever its called. So IRS knows about your earnings already, and if they are not after you its your luck. I don't believe any business owner just give you salary out of his pocket, it is not quite possible they will voluntarily loose like 20% of they own profit. So just be carefull !!!

Crook, there is no need to worry. Apply with the documents you have and if possible get the tax returns by declaring your income. The documents you have are good to go but as i mentioned tax return as work proof stand in a league of its own. In case you are not able to get returns, file the case with the documents in hand.
