Be a problem if my previous job was a management position in big company?
Plus i am a college graduate. The restaurant i work for is owned by our family.
I got all the requirements already but im just worried that they may think
My job as a cook in our own company is not legit or anything. Hope someone could
Advise me. Thanks!

First of all, welcome to the dedicated thread for Chefs/Cooks.

In your case, i don't think there would be any kind of problem. It's good that you do have your own restaurant, but i would suggest you to not to disclose in any documents & just claim that you work in restaurant as a cook. Why to give them any clue that there is something wrong with your docs? So, act smart and get your work done.

Also, as you said you've your own restaurant, then there is no need to show that you've work with any big company. You can easily arrange the work experience documents of cook, so it's better to ignore your previous employment.

Hope this answers your query. Be connected in this thread !!

i don't believe that they have any kind of employment database, this seems to be very kiddish and also, it totally differs from nation to nation. The example which you've mentioned above (192.com) is of UK and i think they're much more advance as compare to India. In our country, this is nowhere. So don't get tensed and relaxed.

If i ask, why are you so tensed if they do some kind of checks? I'm hoping you're attaching genuine documents with the application in July.

I dont think there is a database related to employment in India. I will refrain from commenting on cases where a person is highly educated and working in a Managerial position, but still migrating as a cook. Hope you guys understand what i mean ;D ;D.

Sorry for the late reply Crook, brother i am not sure how long CIC take to return the application. I think they return applications between 2 to 4 months.
