Thanks for wishing me. Don't worry, visa has been issued and your passport is on the way.

I am going to land Canada 2nd week of Sept on a vacation. Will return back here and after couples of month finally I will be settled there.

Cheers

Thanks. Where have you been settled there in Canada? I am planning to land Edmonton for a 20 day visit. You have any thread or web link to get a temporary accommodation there?

Thanks in advance

-No. The PR cards currently take on average 54 business days to be mailed to you, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp That is around 11 weeks, almost 3 months.

But if you provide a mailing address of your friend/relative, they will send it to him/her. Latter on s/he can send it to you.

Quote from one forum member
" If you wish to remain only as a permanent resident of Canada, you should physically present in Canada for 2 years out of your next five year period counting from the date of landing.

In order to apply for a Canadian citizenship you should physically present in Canada for 3 years out of the 4 ( four ) year period."

Congrats nsharif

Good Luck
