ALHAMDULILLAH

Today I received passports with visas and COPR for the whole family. Aramex delivered the package in the morning and I have to pay AED 30/-

Thanks to Almighty ALLAH.

Thanks to all of my family and friends for their prayers and continues support. It was a long journey spanning over 2 years and 7 months.

My timelines is:

Application: April 2011

In Process: January 2012

Updated Documents (Schedule A+ PCC): June 2013

MR: 5 September 2013

Medical Done: 12 September, sent by DMP on 16 September

Medical Received on ECAS: 20 September

PPR: 17 October 2013

Passport received by LVO: 29 October 2013

Visa issued: 5 November 2013

Passport received with visa: 12 November 2013

My prayers and best wishes are with all those who are waiting for medical or for PPR. I know this wait is very painful and I myself went through all this. Keep yourself busy in life and soon you will have what you are waiting for, it is just a matter of time.

Remember me in your prayers.

Thank you All

Congrats again... I guess your visa expiry will be some date in end of September 2014. So when are you planning to fly?

Regards,

Thanks a lot @Mapledreamer about the courier used to send back our passports here in GCC.

As I understand from your previous post, they will send an email informing us of the airway bill number, right?

Thanks in advance for confirming. If yes, that would be a big relief for us. At least we know now on how are we to receive our passports back ;).

The waiting time to receive the passports back felt so much longer than the time the whole process started.

Do you happen to know also the time frame most applicants have from sending to receiving passports?

Thanks again ;)

I guess sending the tracking number is case specific, not everyone gets the email with tracking number on it.

Generally, you will get the passport within 4 to 5 days of the Decision Made status in ecas.

All passports in GCC are delivered by Aramex. If your mobile number is on the self addressed envelope, then the courier will call you, if you are not at home and you can give him your location for delivery. The same happened with me, however luckily I had just started the car when he called ;D so told him where I was standing.

Regards,

rizmayo, bro - same for me, the ARAMEX guy called me asking location where they can deliver my Passport from Canada Embassy. They come my house, I paid 12.5BD.

I did not receive email with tracking number. I checked ecas after receiving call from Aramex, based on the date of Decision Made - it took 3days for it to reach Bahrain from London.

Maybe not everybody gets an AWB number..but in my case I did.. maybe because it was an emergency. About getting the passport 4-5 days after your ecas changed to Decision made, it didn't happen to us it took 2 weeks I think it took nearly 3 weeks however at that time a there was a strike.

I think you may have raised CSE and they sent you the AWB number in response to that. Or perhaps it was due to the delay of 2 weeks.

Thanks for your reply @rizmayo and @mapledreamer. Do you know anyone who received back their passports and yet their ecas was not updated? I received an email that our application is ready for visa issuance however my ecas is still "in process". No mention even of medical received. This is our 3rd week on waiting for the return of our passports.
