Alhamdulillah...my wife received her passport back with visa today ;D .... this dreadful PR process took 26 months for us... following is my time line

I would like to thank all the group members for helping me in these hard times, reading through your posts have always given me a sense of hope and positiveness. May Allah Bless all of you and shower his blessings in your married lives. I might not me visiting the forum quiet often...but surely i'll reply to any personal message and help in every way possible.

Ettihad is good, emirates is great but a bit expensive, PIA I agree it sucks, because one of my friends recently travelled on it to Pakistan and nothing was working on the flight, food was smelling, TV was not working, Seats were really bad. Staff were not cooperative
I would suggesst to go thru Ettithad, as coming from Pakistan to Abu Dhabi as there is only 3-4 hrs stay at the airport and then you are on ur flight to Canada

Pakistan needs another airline that goes directly to Canada other then PIA.
Then PIA will up their quality

SubhanAllah! Allah is great! Mashallah! So lately I've been monitoring my ecase status every morning. As soon as I'd get in to the office, the first thing was to log on to CIC and check the status. I checked this morning and it said: "A decision has been made on XXX's application. The office will contact XXX concerning this decision."

I'm excited because it means that the officers have touched my case - Alhamdullilah!!

Now would anyone be able to advise what would be the next step? Don't say more wait hehe

Allhumdullilah that is another step closer to the finish line... pls be patient Insha Allah soon you will have pp w visa PrayingforPR :-X

MashaAllah. Alhamdulillah. I received my PR visa and landing papers right Three hours before. I pray for rest of all. Leaving 4 canada after two weeks.

Hey guys,
I am really stressing out here and I am sure one of you people would be able to provide some insight. My wife got her passport back with the visa last week and I booked a flight for her right away. Anyway, she cleared customs in Pakistan an hour ago and was informed that she may not be able to cross customs in Canada because she doesn't have landing papers.
She just received her passport back with the visa stamped and never got any landing papers(and as far as I know you get your PR after you are in Canada and no landing papers) For people on here who flew to Canada recently (within the last few months) were you or your spouse able to by pass customs with just the visa or did you need landing papers or other information. I realize I can't really do anything now but wait until she lands in Calgary and hopefully the customs officer in Pakistan was misinformed but any info would be appreciated.

wish you luck but my husband landed in oct 2014 and the CBSA officer checks ur landing paper and sign it. keeps one copy which turns in to a PR card and gives you another copy which validates your landing in Canada. forgot to mention that we are also in Calgary

I m apart from my hubby since one n a half year...already waited so long...how can husbands leave their job n sit in pakistan n wait for their results......they are cruel..insane people...spoiling others life...they talk about human rights bt do against it...
I m not hopeless n disappointed..happy for others .this is jus frustration...Allah will do better for us.....now my husband will come next month n wil wait here in pk whther its two three or four months.

Dear Members hope u r fine,am 2013 applicant here is my time line

Application filled May 2013.

Get Approval July 2013

Transfer to Islamabad July 2013

Transfer to london Feb 2014

Still i did not received any re medical or any update from cic...last week i send query through Mp and yesterday get reply from cic mention below..


This is in response to your inquiry regarding the above noted file.
Please be advised that this application is in a queue awaiting the organisation of an interview. The interview will take place in Pakistan, and will be conducted by an Immigration Officer based in London, UK, during an area trip.

We expect that area trips will be conducted in each quarter of the year. The applicant will be contacted approximately one month prior to the scheduled interview date.

Kindly senior member tell me that what happen next and how much they took time its months already gone

Thanks for the update. What I have notice last time interview was conducted in Nov 2014 and than in Jan 2015. It seems every other month. However if they are saying every quarter than should be in April. I will suggest order notes and see why they put you interview que so you can prepare for it.

Meanwhile keep you communication/on going relationship records. In most of the interviews they ask for it.

Inshallah this difficult time will be over one day as our other members have good news around the forum we will get very soon.

Thanks for the advice guys. I agree that in hindsight it was pretty stupid not researching everything before I booked the ticket but can't do anything about that now. I will get to the airport well ahead of time and speak to customs or CBSA as some of you have suggested. For now, I just hope she doesn't get stopped at Heathrow in London. So far she has been able to get through customs in Pakistan and Doha.

Also if anyone else who has received the passport within the last month or two can share their experience, I would really appreciate it. All my wife got was the passport with an immigration visa for "ONE entry". Not sure if the landing papers or COPR were misplaced or never delivered.

Please update how did your wife make it out without landing paper . I hope every thing should be fine. Thanks
