Hello everyone. I applied in july 2013 and upfront medical was also done.

I want to know three/four things:

1) how can I know about where is my file right now?
2) I haven't got back any documents which I send to Ottawa in July. When will they gonna send me back my documents?
3) I want to send them more proofs like our communication snapshots, viber, whatsapp, facebook and more pictures because my wife visited here in Pakistan last month , can anyone help me about this? If sending them more proofs will helpful in my case.
4) And on which Email I have to send more proofs?

Hope we all get our PPR very soon. Insha'Allah.

Thanks everyone.

Asslamu Alaykum SAM629

1) If you haven't received an AOR than when you reach your 1 year mark in July order notes. Your file may still be in Ottawa.
2) Original Documents are sent depending on the officer when they have scanned everything into the system but sometimes you may not receive your docs back until visa has been issued.
3) You defintily should send more proofs a few ppl on this foum have done that and I'm actually gathering documents to send.
4) I'm not sure of the email address I believe this is it islamabad-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca please correct me if I'm wrong other members. I'm going to be mailing my documents and am making copies of what I send.

Q- What is the general processing milestones and timeline?
1)After the file is transferred to Islamabad Embassy it collects dirt for 10-12 months.
2)Then they start the initial review of the application.
3)They request to re-fill some forms along with an updated police clearence certificate.
4)They request for Re-medical after some time. (It could come with the forms request as well)
5)If the background checks are clear and medical is clear, they request for Passport to be sent to the Embassy.
6)Once they stamp the Visa on the passport, they return it to you.

Whole process takes about 14-16 months for wife cases and 16-20 months for husband cases. But now their is no definite timeframe and they don't seem to care that it's a husband or wife case.

Sometimes it takes more time if the case is complicated and nikkah only. They ask for the Ruksati to be done or else they put the file in the interview queue. So keep collecting relationship proof such as call history, chat logs, emails, text messaging logs, gift receipts, money transfer receipts, visit pictures, visit tickets/boarding pass. They can ask for more proof if they feel like the proof of relationship is not enough.

Hope it helps.

The reason why trv are rejected is simply because they have a certain quota to fill. Don't feel that your case wasn't strong enough and that's why you got rejected. On the other hand, if you did get the trv don't think you supplied something so different that the people who got rejected didn't. Your file was just there at the right time on the right place at the right desk and luckly that visa officer actually had ink in his stamp.

Its all about the quota.

Thanks for your kind answer. It really helping me to understand procedure. I got AOR in August 2013. So now what you think should i go for notes or I should wait more 2-3 months and then I ask for notes?
