how will i know my file has been transferred
will they send an email or letter .
up-til now i have received a letter on April 5, 2013 which says that you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing. Should you need to submit additional information or make any further enquiries regarding the
Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s), you may contact the visa office by e-mail,
fax, or in writing as follows: Islamabad High Commission of Canada

so whats next....i m worried that its almost 10 months but i didnt receive a letter from islamabad
and what is AOR

my friends wife is in Canada and her case is transfer to Islamabad December 2013, after that his husband and 3kids submit his file in Islamabad on 19 Jan. 2014 , He received oar 27th Jan 2014.
but my case is transfer to Islamabad nov.13 2013 and my wife and kids submit her file on 6th Dec. 2014 but we are still waiting our AOR. I don't know what is this? CIC says first come first process but what is this???

Ameen. Yes dora Allah ka shuker i am free from medical and waiting for ppr. And i praY for that season to come soon when it rains ppr for all of us Ameen. We are all in same situation and can easily understand what we all are going through

dear its not cuz of strike if it was like tht they wdnt have sent so many medical requests n pprs before november !

many ppl got their GCMS notes majority ppl r stuck in background check for last 6 months !

Hmn may be i am wrong. I was just guessing. Because we dnt knw what are their criteria actualy are
Some times it make me feel that they murt nt be human they might be alien and on some other planet or they might be robots as when they come to reply they reply the same msg to every one without a change of word

AOR is Acknowledgement of Receipt..... this is the email u received informing u that u r eligible to sponsor ur spouse... its also called Step 1 of the spousal application.... Step 2 is when they evaluate ur spouse

In ur AOR it also mentions that the file has been sent to Islamabad.... this is NOT true as they only send an e-copy of ur file to Islamabad.... this has been standard practise for all applications received in the past few years.... the physical file sits in Ottawa catching dust for more than a year ( as was the case with my file n many others on this forum).... then they send the physical file to Islamabad for further processing... they DO NOT send us any confirmation or letter informing us of this.... the only indication in my case was that they sent my originals back n the letter was from Ottawa not Islamabad.... that told me my application had been sitting in Ottawa for over a year (Mar 2012 to ~August 2013)

The ONLY way to find the exact status of ur application is through GCMS notes.... so I would say wait until a full year has passed n order ur notes.... this will give u a better indication of where ur file is....

There's no need to panic that its been 10 months.... there r many ppl on this forum that applied in 2011 but still haven't received anything from CIC.... so ur not the only one n rest assured there is nothing wrong with ur file

Remed and PPR in Dec 2013 (husband case). Now waiting for PP back from CHC.

Done remedical in aug 2013 still waiting for ppr.

have same timeline as you and same situation. remed done and waiting on ppr.

well to be honest we dnt see any reason to delay after medical ! since everyone knows what is background check and half of things they already do before sending medical request so whts the point of making us wait for ppr wht we can do is just keep waiting and checking email after every few mins from 8 am till 5 pm like a fool !

Guys I think something is being going on at Islamabad Office. I think something serious must have happened that caused additional delays. Afghan applications are being sent to New Delhi and London. I don't think its due to high number of applications only. It could be something else.

Very interesting article.... of particular concern was this statement.... straight from the horse's mouth (former Immigration Minister):

"Typically, on a global basis we process spousal sponsorship applications in under 12 months. In some places it becomes more difficult, where there are higher rates of fraud. I'll give you an example, we have very long processing times in Pakistan, in part because the Pakistani government wouldn't give visas to our officers to go in and make decisions and, in part, because a lot of people there do Shariah marriages which are not registered in the civil courts and we can't verify them. "

It's clear from this the Canadian govt is making us suffer over their diplomatic disputes..... It's completely ridiculous n inexcusable!... Y r they holding our relationships hostage over their own stupidity??.... It makes no difference to pakistani govt how long it takes.... paki politicians r only concerned with stuffing their pockets n pursuing their own agendas.....Conservative govt did the same thing over UAE n it was taken out on us citizens where we had to pay thousands of dollars for a visit visa anywhere in UAE
