i dont mean disrespect, so please do not judge me as this is not your right, but i know what i am talking about. I am just saying that Canada is not blind to the fact that pakistan is the world leader in the visa fraud business , documents that are given for visa applications contain **spam**, fake degrees, fake birth certificates, fake marriage certificates etc. Of course i dont say it is from all applicants, but because of that canada together with other countries had to put different measures to check and validate the authenticity of applications from pakistan. What I am saying is dont blame it all on CIC.
This is just the same as all spouses now must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the marriage is real by submitting hundreds of pages of evidence, photos, records etc, and why are we asked to give so much proof? Because marriage fraud became a business and the people that used the system this way ruined it for the real geniuane marriages. I know of people that applied for spousal sponsorship between 1998-2007) and believe me all that was needed back than was a marriage certificate, couple photos and some phone records (maybe 4-5 pages in total) and now we all submit 100s of potos, 1000s of pages of email, skype etc.
read the below thread, these people who misuse the system are the ones who created the backlog. and in the end we all pay for it. Also dont forget the time some of the backlog was created in Pakistan, when the Pakistani government would not allow canadian visa offices to enter the country to work. read about it.
