Well i applied in 29 Nov 2011 and got AOR at the end of JAN 2012. and no news after that

Hey can anyone please guide me if its a better idea to resubmit the medical and proof of visits to Pakistan for this year?

Don't do the medical till they ask for it, but voluntary proofs of visits and stuff is always a great idea. Make a cover letter explaining everything that's in the package .

Call the call centre, they'll let you know for sure.

Now I am super confused. The letter my lawyer received is from CPC-Mississauga, but apparently people are receiving emails from CPP-Ottawa. Where is the darn file, this is so frustrating, and this is just the beginning!

No need to worry jerry84 i know some people who received their first stage approval from even Mississaugua their files are in Ottawa too. Because it looks like Ottawa is doing the initial assessment. Pray for every one and hope for best that our cases done in 12 months Allah karay ameen sumameen

Acknowledgment of Receipt of Application in Islamabad May 28 2012. We were asked to send more pictures documents and etc.

Undergo medical examination cause the first examination was expired. August 13, 2012

Currently the file is with a immigration officer.

Ottawa pilot project

Cpp-O is a alternative project. To reduce the burdens on visa offices such as (Islamabad, Buffalo, Istanbul, Cairo ect). It only does limited things after approval of stage 1. It provides the original visa offices with background checks and verifies originality of case. It is not a visa offices that will stamp a visa for you (it can't legally). It has to be Islamabad (the country of applicant has final say). It can't validate Nadra, Educational docs, Police certificate, birth certificate, Marriage papers. (Only Pakistani immigration has write amount of contact to do so). So what is Ottawa? Its like one forum member told me when i was new ( i didn't want to believe him). He said it's a "dumping ground". Ottawa states its a 12 month process??. Few members from november 2011 are in Ottawa aswell (been 13 months) no reply??!!. The matter of fact is visa will only be stamped by original visa office. Passport request will be sent by pakistan (you never know how long they take to do that).

P.S The only thing, Im saying this is i got my hopes high about ottawa (along with other members) and so far its been depressing.

its really confusing for every one..email we recived in that email address is from cpp-ottawa but at the end of letter its says cpc-mississauga..according to my husband this email is from ottawa they r using copy paste format of mississauga

yea that is right- but still the law is in place so they should have some sort of "sakoon" lol.. ;D

No that rule is only for people who applied after I think 25/26 of october

I was reading another forum called roadtocanada and there were English applicants who has sponsored their spouses from England and their cases bared a strong resemblance to ours. They sent their applications to Mississauga, got approval from Ottawa (acknowledgement said file had been transferred to London), and after a delay they were asked to submit re-medicals to Ottawa (not London). After that they were told London would be contacting them for their passports - these were 2012 cases! But we are Pakistani - we are still in the delay phase

I hope you are right ! InshaAllah I hope that is the case. It makes sense.

yaaar my question is from ladies and gentlemen who got married in Pakistan and came back to Canada ..did you guys change ur martial status on any of the Canadian documents?
on my school loan application im listed as single, confused about it. I mean if somebody is married then he/she has to show spousal income but my spouse isnt here yet.

I know for sure that my taxes ill have to file as married. I am trying to fill my scholarship application as married but its asking for my husband's income and all .. so confused about that as well.
