I've herd all various theories... Is this in fact true?
That wife cases get processed quicker than husband cases?

From everyone's experiences, how long would you think it would take for me to sponsor my wife from KHI after doing all wedding ceremonies?
It is not an "arranged marriage" nor were we related before our relationship.

Our govt really needs to get overhauled!

processing is usually longer for guys and it looks like mr azizali is one of those cases...

Yes, from what i seen from various forum members and some of my personal friends, wife cases do get processed slightly faster.

Obviously, CHC at this time states 26 months, however, in reality it doesn't really take that long (unless something bad comes up...Interview)

Is hoping for this whole ordeal to be over with within 12 months, or is that just hopeful thinking?

Im hoping for the same iA. Looks like they are clearing out the 2011 pretty quickly so there is definitely a strong possibility that ~12 months could be the avg processing time for straight fwd 2012 cases.

My hubby and I are first cousins and our marriage was arranged, so obviously its not like a scenario where I have an actual date when we first met or anything. So my question is, just the fact that we are first cousins, will this have some sort of negative impact on our case, or could it actually be a positive thing?

I am in the same situation as you. In the cases ive seen of first cousin marriages, there needs to be a lot of emphasis on a good amount of continuing communication proof, financial support proof and well documented proof of a complete marriage with ruksati.
Reading an article a few days back, almost half the cases for spouse sponsorship are between first/second cousins. So I doubt there is going to be any negative impact. The CIC-I understands that "ghar ki larki" ki izzat hai, chances of it being a fraudulent marriage are low, especially if your entire family is in the wedding pictures.

my application recieved at 7th march 2012.. shown on the site ..... but hey send my wife that u can not sponser ur spouse because ur stil not indipendent ant ur lving with ur parents send us any job leter ..... we recieved this leter at 26 jun........ is my case is rejected....and what i have to do now ...... my status still shows that application recived at 7th march and they even not answering our mail about this matter......

No ofcourse, it can get approved in 12 months Allah willing. I have first hand heard about a case approved from Montreal in 9 months, no re-med required. That was a 2011 case also.
