That means Ottawa only deals with applications that have been rejected once before??

Something I found on line for CPC-Ottawa processing for the last 12 months. Looks like its alot faster then CHC-Islamabad. But its only for cases which aren't high risk.

if cic-o was infact processing cases on behalf of other visa offices, delhi, manila, isl, etc then at least one person would have come forth and claimed so on here, atleast one person...

folks are just creating confusion for others... only chc-isl will decide what happens to our files once in step two, not cic-o.

the only time cic-o is (if they are) involved in our files is when cic-m forwards a batch of files to them to help clear the clog of backed up cases for step one and one only...

If the case is straight forward (low risk) for them the will complete the process here then send the instruction to CHC-I for visa issuance on the passport. b) High risk files they will send to CHC-I after completing the security checks for further processing.

I got this information from cic call centre as my file is tranfered to Ottawa and I want to send some additional information so they gave me the address and email info for CPP-Ottawa:

When you received step 1 approval letter, what did it say?

I have been told from CIC Call Centre about 1 month ago that my file is transferred to CPP- Ottawa for further processing and he told me that CHC Islamabad is aware of that your application for Permanent Residence has been received. But my question is why did they say on the approval letter which I got from them that my file is transferred to Islamabad and they also provided CHC Islamabad mailing address and their email and fax no????

And 1 more question how would you know your file transfer date the date when CHC Islamabad received your file physically at their office? I got AOR approval letter for step 1 on July 20, 2012 and it says your file is transferred to Islamabad.

My Ecas Status shows Application Recieved Feb 28/ 2012

I got 1 stage approval letter via email from Mississauga office on Jun 8/2012 and on the letter it shows you file is transfer to Visa Office with the address of Islamabad visa office.

I send the email to CHC-I for my file number to send additional information for my revisit and to confirm if they recieve the file, I got email back from CHC-I on Aug 26, 2012 stating that they don't have my file and contact Immigration office in Canada to locate my file and send the documents to that office.

I called cic call centre on Aug 28/2012 to inquire about my file and they checked and informed me that my file is in Ottawa Pilot office and it is transferred on Jun 8/ 2012 and it will be processed there and once processing complete it will be sent for issuance of visa to chc-i or for further review and you need to send all further documentation to CPP-Ottawa, I requested the contact information which they emailed me for CPP-Ottawa.

As far as sponsorship approval letter I also recieve my visa office as Islamabad and I guess our visa office is still the CHC-I Ottawa just completing the application and forwarding for visa or further review and when I asked for processing time so he answered that the office is new so they don't have the processing time for CPP-Ottawa.

The fact is that when "ppr" will be issued it will be issued form Pakistan. There is a major backlog in Pakistan, having one of the highest/slowest file processing scheme in the whole world. Obviously, Canadian immigration officers view "pakistan" as one of the "high marriage fraud risk". Thus, they do more checks (or so called checks) to legitimize that the marriage is genuine. Ottawa i believe is a relatively new scheme, whereby, older forum members don't know about. CIC doesn't want to inform you about Ottawa to minimize the confusion (though many members have found out and have increased anxiety about it anyways). I don't know if it will decrease times of obtaining PPR. However, it can't get any worse than it is now. Personally, I had come in contact with a CIC agent, he didn't directly mention that my file is in Ottawa, however, he did say its in process. I know if my file was in ISB, there would be no way my file would be in process this quickly, it would be under a stack of other files. In the end we will find out about this new mystery...

AOR from islamabad ? well i recd it with my stage 1 approval. i hope everything is good with our case.

my husband received approval letter that he is eligble to sponsor me from CIC missisuga on 28 may , 2012.
the i received "acknowledgement of receipt of application" from CHC islamabad on 24 june, 2012.(they ask to submit supplementary form and some additional proofs, so luckly my husband again visited me so i have more proofs which i send them).
i dont know when they are goin to contact next...my medical is goin to be exppire on 7 dec 2012.
anyone who got AOR from islamabad are u able to chk ur status by application no..i can't chk only by UCl and it shows application received.. and we received ur application for pr on xxxxxxx. and medical results have been received.

i have sponsored my wife and we filed our application on 23rd april 2012 and recd approval letter from mississauga on 2nd august and the visa office mentioned in the letter was definitely Islamabad.. but here comes the confusion part... on august 8,2012 i recd an envelop from ottawa pilot project in which they have sent me back half of our wedding pics back.. which included rukhsati and valima reception. they didnt keep any of the pics from rukhsati and valima .. they just kept pics of our engagement, nikkah and outings.. don't know why ottawa sent us back our pics coz what i knw so far is rukhsati pics r always imp in spouse immigration but in my case they returned it back with no letter mentioning the reason behind it....
