CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

Regardless what the CIC call agents says, that email is similar to what we got. The key point there is "forwarded to visa office ABOARD" from my knowledge Toronto to Ottawa shouldn't be considered "aboard" Secondly, every applicant gets/got same email. I got that similar email and my file is in ISB. I think call center agent had some screws lose upstairs ( if u know what i mean....).

Ok this might clear up things to some extend. I was clearly told by "Call center agent" that my file is tranferred to Ottawa pilot and "If needed" they will tranfer it to Islamabad. well she was wrong i suppose as in the letter i just recieved, it says that

" application for permanent residence has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.
Should you need to submit additional information, you may contact visa office by email, fax or in writing"

......

The visa office is selected based on the home address......

the letter came from CPP-Ottawa, and the funny thing is that at the end it says

I am getting comfort in the fact that there are quite a few people who have had their Passport requests come in in around 9 - 12 months after the submission to CIC-M.
But then there are a lot of 2010 cases still withstanding..
Only time will tell what comes of our batch, but seems like the straightforward cases have started to flow through the pipes faster.

Same here man, it put a huge smile on my face looking at the 9 month time frame, it will be so awesome. My wife was a little upset with me today and I told her about this and now all is well LOL…

I am going to pakistan in november 2012 INSHALLAL to get married, I wanted to know what document I should get from there to sponser my wife. Can somebody give me a detail of all the documents , forms and supporting documents that I should submit. and what is the procedure to sponser the spouse. I found out that the processing time is 26 months, GOD thats a long time, is it taking that long or it might take less time too.

I would really appreciate some answers, suggestions from the senior members.

All documents are listed in checklist and forms online.

Just make sure you do following things:

1. Do Rukhsati for sure
2. Since you are going in November, start collecting chat records and phone conversations from now.
3. Take pictures with spouse (dinners, family occassions, honeymoon, restaurants)

Rest of the stuff is listed in checklist and forms on cic website.

dont go to pakistan..n try to find girl in canada.....other wise get ready to see your wife in 4 years

Hi Farakh bro,

I called them once last week and was thinking on calling them again on Thursday but shukar allah got the response. I dont think calling them does any harm unless you call them every 2 hours which i m sure you wont.

I would highly recommend to see the below group. Its for all April 2012 applicants irrespective of visa offices. Theres a google doc http://goo.gl/6Pm1Y as well

If you look no one except me for 17th April has been approved yet so hang in there I am sure you'll get the email /E-cas update by next Tuesday at the most.

E-cas only shows that my application has been received and thats it not mentioning that decision has been made or that the file is being transferred.

My Ecas says that a decision was made and a letter was mailed to you. I did recieve the UCI and F # in the letter. Ecas doesnt mention anything about medicals yet. However I haven't logged in with the sponsored persons details- just mine.

I was wondering that since its been quite a few days since you got your letter, now when you login to E-cas (with F#and sponsored person details) does it say file transferred to ISL?

Did you get your wife's UCI? I got an email with "my" UCI and an F number? Is that what you got as well?

I think we can now reasonably conclude that all files are being forwarded to Islamabad. Does anyone still believe to the contrary?

I am curious what the "criteria" is for sending files to Ottawa for Step 2. My guess is random files.

Kman, are you sponsoring husband or wife? My application was received by CPC-M on March 16, 2012 and I got an email today, informing I AM APPROVED TO SPONSOR and the file is transferred to Islamabad. Ecas still does not show anything and I never received an AOR.

What a great news just before the month of RAMADAN. Inshallah, Allah (SWT) will give us the patience to wait and blesses us with good luck of speedy sponsorships. Keeping you all in my prayers
