CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

Hi All,

I email Ottawa to get an update and I got the generic reply that file is in process bla bla bla.

I finally got my GCMS notes yesterday as well. I am not sure what are the key things to look for. So any senior memeber if you can help it will be much appreciated.

Under Assessments:
Eligibility: Not Started
Security: Not Started
Criminality: Not Started
Medical: Passed - Expired

So I am not sure if anything has been started or not. There is a due date under Eligibility which is exactly one year from the AOR. Does anyone know what is that for?

I am a May 2012 case and got my notes at the end of June 2013. I had the exact same information as you mentioned above. I think the file hasn't even been touched yet. It's still in queue to be assigned to an officer (I believe). As for the due date, I feel these are just placeholder dates as there were many things in the notes that were past the due date and had no activity.

I would suggest reordering your notes at the end of September, once the one year mark of file transfer has passed.

Just spoke with my lawyer in regards to the updated package I sent, he has not heard from Islamabad it has been over a month now. I asked him to give me his insight as to what is happening with 2012 cases, his response: "I don't want to give you false hopes I don't see anything being done on your file for this year and none of my 2012 cases have heard anything" Okay then.. Not sure should I be happy that I am not alone in this or should I be upset? So frustrated the medical has now expired. Sigh... I guess all that's in our hands is praying.. I hope Allah SWT does what's best for us an reunites us with our spouses soon.

I think your lawyer is right. I don't think there is any concrete progress for 2012 cases. The people that have heard so far are exceptions, but for the majority of us, no activity despite the medical being expired, etc.

I also sent some additional documents to ottawa last month June 2013 (voluntairly) to update my file....

I have emailed them twice to confirm if they have received and updated the file .... They dont even bother replying.... So frustrating...

Someone called from isl to talk with my wife and she missed the call. Now she has submitted her passport on june 25/2013 waiting for pp back with visa, question is, should she i be worried that they r calling my wife. If anyone knows something in this reguard please help.


ISL still have not called my wife, should i be worried that they have not called back.

Someone called from isl to talk with my wife and she missed the call. Now she has submitted her passport on june 25/2013 waiting for pp back with visa, question is, should she i be worried that they r calling my wife. If anyone knows something in this reguard please help.

Second, in the notes, it days undertaking length, 36 months! Anyone who ordered notes, does they say that for you as well? Lastly, whoever ordered GCMS notes, what does it state for under the heading counterfoil required? TJazakAllah Kharin, and I really hope to hear a reply soon!

Undertaking of 36 months means that you will be financially responsible for your spouse for 36 months, upon their arrival in Canada. It has nothing to do with the processing time.

Can someone please guide me about submitting my passport? should i submit is through visatronics in G-6 AabPaara or I can submit it from any TCS branch in Islamabad, Pakistan? Does any TCS branch in Islamabad collects passport for CHC-I or I should only be using Visatronics office in G-6 Aabpaara, Need a quick reply please, thank you in advance
