i sent a 5kg shoebox full of pics etc to ottawa..and then i sent a follow up email asking if they got it- and they replied yes.

Has anyone sent additional proof (voluntarily) via email to Ottawa? I just saw on their website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/ottawa.asp that the advise sending via email. Not sure if this is applicable for sending additional proof.

I finally received my Notes today (it took them exactly 40 days)... I had a few questions about the notes, if anyone is willing to help:

1. The notes mention that Primary office is Islamabad and Secondary Office is Ottawa. Can someone please elaborate on this?
2. In the correspondence --> incomming section of the notes, I noticed that electronic copies were sent to Islamabad in April this year. Would someone please let me know how long after this activity (electronic document transfer) the re-med or pp will be sent? So far, we have only received sponsorship approval \AOR about a year ago.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

This means that both Ottawa and Islamabad are working in a conjoint manner regarding your file.
There is no specific time after how long you will get remed or ppr after file transfer. (Allah knows best)
Order notes again few months down the road to see progression, so far there isn't much....

yes, sometimes system is down. Try to make sure your inserting the right info, sometimes a number can be misplaced here and there. Should work later on.

I am having problem checking status on ecas using the file no starting with FXXXX..it does not work anymore (not that it really matters since Ecas is a joke).
I can only check using client ID#. Anyone else having this problem?

I got a re-medical request in my email, it says that I have to do my medical within 60 days of receiving this email, the email is not from Islamabad Office it is from client-update-mise-a-jour@cic.gc.ca

YES, everyone who's getting re-medicals are getting it thru this same email id.. so don't worry and Congrats ! book ur appointment.. You guys are very lucky u filed just in aug 2012 and got the request.. I filed for my wife in april 2012 and haven't got anything yet

Hey, I am a May 2012 applicant as well. Got my notes a few days ago. According to them my office is OTT. Anyway, for me nothing has started. Check under assessment and what does it say?

Hi every one. Its good to see so many people sharing the experiences and time line. As most of you guys have gone thru this process may be any one can guide me as well. I sent my application to CIC Mississauga on 28th March 2013. Since than its been more than 2 months i haven't received any confirmation from anywhere. I did confirm that my application has been received. So please comment on what should i expect and how long this process will take. Is it normal that file transfer takes 3 months or is it special for 2013 cases. Can i call them to check about receipt of application.I posted this message earlier as well but no detailed answer was received. Thanking in anticipation.regards
