Woah! Does everybody has to go through ottawa? Cuz its really scary...im sorry but i dont really knw the whole process of immigration

I guess they saw it in the system? I have ordered GCMS notes and should be receiving them next week.
I will confirm whether my file has been touched or not then.

If the file is in Ottawa then how does Islamabad know it has not been touched?

We Jxt received email from cpc missisauga it says "we hav received ur application on 29th oct 2012"
they have also provided uci and application number. What does this msg mean? Is this what we call "aor"? Have they approved sponsor eligibility?
I also checked the online status but it does not work for me? Plz advice me friends

I am hesitant in asking the MP to inquire again since it was a hassle convincing him to do it the first time.
According to him, my MP does not inquire on files until the 18th month and made an exception for me.

That being said, i suspect he will come back with the same response from Ottawa as well.

Doesnt look like Ottawa is showing any sense of urgency in processing CIC-Isb's backlog.

why dont u tell ur MP to inquire from ottawa

Agreed, I am afraid we'll be like the 2010 cases. So depressing!

Mrs. Sam no no .. We have just filed our case in nov. To CPC Mississauga And they started working on it from december..they asked for my daughter's medical and i have sent it ..the status is "in process" on CIC website.


I was just asking whether we all have to go through ottawa

Hear this out guys.

3 months ago, I was very disappointed at the CIC processing. (They somehow forgot to forward my file to Ottawa/Islamabad).

So, what i did was. I emailed Jason kenny (Immigration Minister). I told him my situtation and I said that i was a citizen by birth and its unfair that they place stupid games like this. (I knew they wouldn't reply)

3 months later, i get an email from kenny's office. Writing to me in detail regarding spousal sponsership.

Will show email soon.....

Friends, I just got back from visiting my wife a few days ago.
Spoke to my MP the day I got back and asked him to make an inquiry. He spoke to CIC-ISB and he has told me the following:

• my file is still in Ottawa and has yet not been touched.
• The additional support package I sent to CIC-ISB on Sep 7th was forwarded to Ottawa in October and has been attached to my physical file.
• He thinks that the Ottawa files wont be touched till the 18th month for initial review.

Means your stage 1 is complete for the spousal sponsership.

Yes, they have approved you and you are eligiable to sponser your spouse.

Yes online will work very soon. Give it a few days and type in the data given it will work.

guys i called cic today and an agent told me that ottawa' spousal sponsorship processing time is unknown, the one we see on the website for ottawa for 12 months is for spousal sponsorship within canada, he said noone knows yet the processing time of ottawa since its a new project
