Hello Guys.....

My wife finally got her PPR 2 request. She did her re-med in OCT and apparently there was an email sent on Nov 12 for PPR but some how we never received it...but alhumdulilah she sent her passport today ...NOW another waiting period starts....

I have a question...I have a son in Pakistan and I applied for him Canadian certificate in NOV 2014...how do I apply for LVP and do I have to personally go to Islamabad.

Where My File is? With them or not (LVO)?
If Yes, When did they receive it from Islamabad?
As they said, that they'll give me reply within 28 days...
But no Response...

Hi, I almost have similar timeline as yours. I sent them a case specific enquiry about 40 days ago, and they responded today that they have not done the initial review yet. I can't believe that they haven't even read the application in 18 months.

My due date is 17th January 2015. What does that mean?
There are satisfactory comments at the end of my notes, but no progress. I'm still waiting for a remedical....

To apply for LVP, you either need a proof that you already applied for Citizenship Certificate or apply for both at the same time AND a purchased ticket indicating immediate travel (assuming your spouse will be travelling to Canada soon). The fee I believe is about Rs.9500 or 10500 plus Rs. 1000 bank fee (Standard Chartered).
Besides the application form that also needs to be signed by a guarantor, you require 2 or 4 photos. You can check with them for the exact document requirements. I applied for my son's Certificate/LVP in Sept and it took about 4 weeks to receive the passport.
