How long passport must be valid before travel?

My husband's passport is expiring in feb 2015.
How long passport must be valid before travel?
Should i ask him to renew his passport and when

Yes its better to renew the passport and send a scanned copy of the new passport to ottawa/London to update the file.
My husband also renewed his passport and send copy to ottawa as our file is in isbd not london.
We git the GCMS notes and our info is updated ...

imagine if the Immigration officers were following this forum and saw how happy they made applicants with even the slightest update. would feel like heros

I received correspondence very first time since i applied in 2012 that's why i am excited.

2ndly they are asking me for update pakistani police certificate.

3rd also for re-medical request.

Now i need suggestion from all of you because guys are my family and family always be together.

Once i get the police certificate do i need to send via portal?, email, or do Courier? and what about medial? i cant send them medial with my own doctor send them separately right.

Please light on this issue

If you don't get any response in couple of months than go for the new one, you can apply the new passport if validity is less than 6 months.

Police cert are always required IN ORIGINALS.
No copies or email scans of PCC are accepted.
So you must post/courier them the original PCC

Also you must send the PCC to the office holding your file . Plz dont just send it to ISBD.

You r right John but agar in ko sharam aati to pehlay hi na kuch kar dikhatay.
Its a policy matter now. Thats why now they are trying to minimise the processing times to avoid more hatred from us.
