So, question...

Has anyone else here received Re-Med via Email with the IMM1017 form?

My wife did her Remed in July yet still got this...now I am not sure if the old medical procedure were valid for 12 months...this one clearly states its valid for 12 months.

Someone here mentioned its possible that the medical was incomplete the first time and that is why they're asking her again?

I am hoping that this remed request means that they're satisfied with the relationship proof?

ok so after like a whole month of applying for gcms notes i got a confirmation that they recieved the application, lol i was expecting gcms notes after a month not just a confirmation , my case is pretty staright forward, plenty of proof, hundreds of pics, family pics, proof spanning over years. engagement, nikah, nikah reception, mayun, mahndi, barat, valima, picnic pics, lived in the same house all my life, no travel history for me, my husband just travelled back n forth from canada n U.S, we are both doctors, no age differnce, families know each othe rfor ever. still its been 15 months and nothing, nothing like not even a call from the embassy, no remed no repcc. i m going a bit crazy now!!

We are on 25th month from AOR. We gave all info, from Engagement to Nikkah to dinners to social nights and family travel record for all the events and boarding passes etc etc.

My wife is a Doctor too and it doesn't matter. They didn't even open our file until April 2012 (as you can see in my timeline, applied Nov 2010 and AOR Dec 2010/Jan 2011). Thats when we received request for updated forms (the ones with bar codes).

Then they issued Re-Medical on May 15th but punks didn't mail it out until June 3rd or so. Wife got it June 6th. Next available appointment date for Re-medical was June 27th in Karachi. :-\ Letter said you have 30 days from date of issue or Cancellation (in one word from the paragraphs) :. I sent an email to resolve that. On June 2Xth got request for RE-PCC. Its a wife case! they hardly send RE_PCC second time BUT i guess they did. Sent Re-PCC and medical at same time.

From July 2012 until now Jan 2013. No PPR yet. :'(
During this time, I contacted MP in Sept 2012 and they got response from them that contact us again in 3 months, file in background checks and underway to be completed by/before Feb 2013, which is within processing time. I ordered notes on Dec 6th and got them Jan 7th 2013. All the GCMS said was that there an update on the file in October 2012 but nothing since then. Other stuff was correspondence. Contacted MP again recently. Latest...in queue to be reviewed by Officer (who hasn't heard that one before!?!) But now we have nothing but to be optimistic. 8)

SOOOO my fellow struggler,hopefully very soon, be patient. If your wife needs/wants to practice medicine, do it! Anything to keep busy. If we knew it would take this long from June Re-med, I would have advised my wife to keep working after residency.

lol I am not trying to scare you people I just shared my experience and what I have noticed so far in these 3 years.
Saudia is not that bad in their list I have been there also for Umrah, but Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan you people can understand
specially Iran.
Stay positive not all the cases have to go through like us.

Actually I don't really think its about 'their' list. CHC is not slow when it comes to verification, its the administration of these countries. The case review centre said that they have 3rd party vendors to verify this, maybe each country has its own.

I bet they simply request the government of saudi to give their clearance for the person, but the saudi authorities don't reply in time. If someone from another country has travelled to pakistan, and when the chc of that country requests clearance from pakistan authorities I can only imagine how long they must take. I couldn't get my police certificate made from karachi in 2 months through the right way (in the end had to bribe the bastards to get it in a couple days).

I fail to understand the logic behind 26 months. And 'hopefully very soon' it's been 15 mths to my case too and still waiting for remed.

What is it in for me (Canada)? I have budget for 100 personal. I could split them evenly between Pak, India and/or China. But why? I can send 60% to India, 30% to China and 10% to Pak. In India, my staff will feel safer than issues from terrorist in Pak, trade deals would go easier and I can make it easier for businessmen in canada to do dealings with india & China. What is Pakistan offering to Canada? Textiles, sports goods, food processing and agriculture?

We need more pak lobbyists and not like the circus we had just recently... what makes it worst is when RCMP calls you in for breaking your promise. How does that look on us, as a people. Some bad apples ruin everything...we have too many to count. The good ones are too busy making more money or being squished from bad ones.

Maybe Pakistan just happens to have bad leaders ever since...
For now, the King of all the tugs (Hon. President of Pakistan) is the star of the show, what can you expect?
As far as the other side of the ocean is concerned, we have hope and count on our ideals & the endowing power of our democracy.

First of all you have to understand conservative govt mind. They love christian values and wants to preserve them from muslims. This is why they are trying every tactics which could slow immigration from muslim countries.

Secondly, their political ideology is very close to Israel. They think Israel as their natural ally and muslim population doesn't fit very much into that equation.

Muslims usually vote to Liberal, conservatives understand this very well. And they don't even bother to attract them to themselves.

And lastly, Riko deq dispute in pakistan has made Canadian govt very unhappy and they are just trying to express their displeasure with govt of pakistan by delaying the visas.

But overall, I think it's the conservative mentality which causing the delay. Nothing else.

Tahir ul qadri has nothing to do with this. I haven't heard anything about it in Canadian media.(unless i missed it) It was only reported in Express tribune as far I remember which TQ rejected and said that he got immigration in 2000 (0r 1999) because he was a well know scholar. Which I think is more relastic as compare to allegations that he got asylum.
After saying all this. I still didn't like how he acted during the long march. He stayed in furnished container and let the people suffer in cold. What a shame. But over all he had the good message but the wrong timing.

i feel its more to do with Pakistan being corrupted then anything else....On November 28, 2012 Pakistan had been declared the seventh most corrupt country out of 97 in the rule of law index of 2012.

Its a case of a few bad fish spoil the whole pond.....in my opinion

oh my God! u are one of those cases who had to wait out the entire 26 months time period. i know when i see people like you i have no right to complain , but this is actually one place where i can whine , anyways i really hope things work out for u guys soon enough, the worst is behind u anyways thank God! . you scared me a little though, i always thought 26 months period was for those people who had a complicated case, but yours sounds very simple. now m scared for myself.

so they picked up your file around the 16 month, thats the latest they start working on a file. yours was a case from karachi as well. so is mine, and also a friend of mine who has a similar time line to me, i think they have a huge bulk for karachi therefore they work slow for us. i hope gcms notes bring some good news for us inshAllah.

Can you please tell me what the Pakistan corrupt government got to do with our Spousal visa ? In spouse visa the most important part is that they check if our Marriage is genuine. For that they ask us to provides proves, they never trusted our Nikah Nama document anyway otherwise they wont ask so many other proofs.

- So if we are proving our relationship, with our phone history, emails, photos etc.. what on earth it got to do if the government is corrupt or not ?

- If they CIC don't even touch our file for more then year, how on earth this can be treated ? Is our Corrupt government who is asking CIC to not open our files ?

- If most important is the verification of Marriage if it is genuine or not, and it is be proves that we provide, same proves that our neighbors Indians also provide but with only difference is that they get the visa in 4 to 8 months and we dont even have chance that they even open our file to look into in that period. Is this also because of our Corrupt government ??

- Now you may say Islamabad office has a lot of load, I will reply BS or Mega BS, according to official Figures provided by CIC, in last 12 months, for spouse and child cases processed by Islamabad office : 2 861 and for India : 5 229

i agree spouse visa should have nothing to do with da govt. wht else in ur opinion is the cause of delay? how is it the certain other countries have a shorter waiting period?
