CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

salam guys,

so wife recieved a letter saying do remed and send in your passport as your visa is ready. she did her re med and sent her passport in on march 20th. the question is does the med go to india first and if it does how long does it take to reach to islamabad? any ideas how long more before she gets her passport back?

she did her med in lahore and she had to do her exrays in diff place then the med place. im hoping that does not cause any issues as doc said its normal and they will send in the results on time.

i dont think being a canadian makes a difference, its been a while since ur app has been in process, i would send them an email.

FYI: my brother's in law's file sd decision made but they sent his letter to india by accident, my sister wrote them a very emotional email, and they apologized, sent him the letter requested passport and sent him visa in less then 10 days.

So my wife will be getting her visa very soon. CHC ISLAMABAD asked for her passport. Now if we want to enter Canada a little later after visa is issued (6 months-1 year)...what do i have to do?? Write a letter to the embassy or what??

The Expiry date on ur wifes visa would be either the date her remedical is expiring or her passport is expiring whichever comes first.
If your wife recently got her re-medical done then the Visa would expire after 1 year of this date. For instance. If she did her re-medical on 15th march 2012, her Visa would expire on 14th March 2013. Or whenever her passport is expiring within a year whichever is the shorter time. If thats the case, then you will have almost 11 months from now to come to Canada.

Can I email to Isl second time about my wife current application status? My wife did email to Isl once time on Sep 2011... it will not affect our case hai na?
