fayzaan - PPR request is sent through TCS so I do have some peace of mind that when they send it most likely it will get to my husband - but I do understand where you're comming from. Mail can get lost whether it's courier/registered or local, but there's a much higher chance of it getting lost with pakistan local post. Also, the only drawback with the GCMS notes is that you don't know until a month later what they say which drives me bonkers! and even when you get them it's a still picture of your case a month ago. Also, I've been nervous to order them as some people have said it potentially slows down your case whereas many others say it doesn't so even though I know most likely it doesn't I'm just holding it out now and not ordering them. I'd rather contact the MP and have her make an inquiry rather than ordering the notes. Good luck to you! InshAllah we'll alll get PPR very very sooooooon!

InshAllah. Yea...I hope it doesn't slow the case down, this is my 2nd time ordering it...I have sent a message to my wife to call the IOM where she got her medical done to get tracking# and see if the medical results have reached ISB.

Its just we have mailing going to chacha's place and just don't want it getting lost or misplaced or something...

My wife received passport with visa and confirmation of permanent residence. There is an error in confirmation of permanent residence, they have mentioned color of eyes for my wife and daughter wrongly, shall I inform CHC-I regarding it or do its correction through Immigration officer at Toronto airport?

Is it? Somebody here told me that it comes through the Pakistan Post. They're good enough to send it through the registered mail. Otherwise, my AOR was thrown on our doorstep so ruthlessly that it shocked me.

I came across a strange document in my AOR. Its a declaration for immigrants who must be registered or licensed in Canada in order to practise medicine. The declaration itself is not strange and I being a medical doctor am fully aware of the licensing restrictions in Canada. There are a couple of clauses in this declaration that are extremely strange.

These are:

1- There are virtually 0 opportunities to acquire further medical training in Canada leading to licensure.
2- my immigrant status will be affected by my failure to obtain a license to practice medicine in any Canadian province or territory.


Well it is very straight forward and truthful of the Canadian government to admit in 1 that there are virtually 0 opportunities for doctors . It is very strange to see 2 because I have applied in the family sponsor category (spouse) and I dont see any reason why my immigrant status will be affected by my failure to obtain a license? Its absurd.

Any doctor to shed light on this stupendous document that I have to sign anyway ?

i had same feelings when i recieved the declaration in y AOR. and are so right abt lessest appotunities for doctors in canada,
we sould indulge ourselves in licencing exam pep from now.
thats what i am trying to do
and guess what the dead line to sit for feb 2013 licensing exam is 25sep.
if i dnt get that exam i ill have to wait for one more years
i am so worried. wish and pray that i get my pp bck this week

Congratulations on getting the pp back! About the glitch, although I agree with the rest of the members here, it's better to take some expert advice, you can't afford any risks. Even Campbell Cohen offers free telephonic consultancy, you could try that. Happy reunion!
