Hello dear members as some may know from my earlier posts I am sponsoring my wife and she will be doing re-medical on sep 10 and sending her passport on sep 11. I am a canadian citizen and my wife is currently pregnant and will deliver sometime end of january to middle of february inshallah. Some people here have said for 90 days once she arrives she will not be covered. My question is , does anyone know a number or place I can go can find out like Health Canada, etc or something. Because I want to be exactly sure and also how much it would cost to deliver the baby here in Canada. I live in Ontario if that is relevant.

Yes that is exactly what happened with me. my medical expires on 25th sep, so they called me on 11th August asking if I can land before that. I said yes. Then they emailed me the PPR saying I need to submit my passport within 7 days or the application is cancelled. The passport reached them on 16th August. Since then they have not replied to any of my emails. I dont know when they're going to send it back cuz the deadline has come very close.

When I said yes to whether I can travel before the 25th of Sep I though they would stamp it in a week. But now I'm getting nervous cuz I have no idea what's going on.

my friend that received the call got his passport 3 days before the deadline
so i would say
keep your bags packed
and your ticket ready

Yea it's true no coverage for 90days but if ur company wil cover her under ur issurnace ul be reimbursed
N also the cost maximum 5000 but baby is free
Only delivery cost wil b charged depending on hospital

That's very true your wife will not be covered by OHIP for first 90 days . You can make contact with senior member cool_heaqded he is in the same situation. Since you are Canadian Citizen you will not be required to apply for your child as He/She will be Canadian by birth. However, you will have to apply for his Passport after birth.

Hey guys..

When I put in online request for GCMS notes, do we have to print and fill out the receipt? or can we just attach it to the email as it is (with blanks)?
Last time I printed it, filled it out, scanned it and attached it with the email. I am just wondering if it is ok to not have to fill in the blanks and just attach the receipt as it is...because I read somewhere that if you are paying it online you don't have to print and fill out the blanks..or something like that.

Yes, you will get confirmation... Its automatic reply that ur email has been received and u wil get reply within 15 busines days... But infact u get reply in more than a month
