CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

Alhamdolillha my wife received visas stamped on her and my children's passports today.

y does it take tht long(10 weeks) just to send medical results back to CHC-I. Yesterday I got the tracking number of re-medical nd it says medical results were sent on 25 July, 2012 nd were received in India on 27 July, 2012. so they count days from when they receive the results not from the date when the medical is done? nd InshAllah we all wil hear good news soon

Where did you get this tracking number? My wife did at IOM Lahore...is this like shipping or something with CIC?

I aksed my husband to call nd ask about the medical results as my MP told me tht CHC-I is still waiting for the medical results, so they gave him the tracking number. My husband did it at IOM Islamabad nd they send results through DHL to India.

Allah ka shukar hai, I have finally exited the long, dark, and narrow tunnel Today, my wife received her passport back along with her original documents through TCS. Interesting though that she submitted the passport through FedEx Gerry's visa service or something like that, but I am not complaining I will post my detailed timeline sometime today or tomorrow. For now I leave you with this:

February 5th, 2011 - Mailed my sponsorship application with my wife's permanent residence application via post office in Mississauga

September 8th, 2012 - Passport/Visa delivered to my wife's doorstep in Rawalpindi.

Total processing time: 19 months and 3 days!

There was a time when Spouse Category was the fastest category, but Canadian Govt. faced many frauds in this category, so now on they test our temperament and genuinity through time consuming process.

Yes, it does vary. Ours is in its 20th month since file transfer. I assume that it has taken long because I have a long work history, and our govt. departments are not much cooperative when the high commission needs info. Walla hu Aalm.

Mine was updated on ecas within a month. I'm still waiting for a PPR after three months of remeds. Moral: It doesn't seem to matter if they get the remeds in 15 days or 10 weeks. They will issue a PPR only when they are in the mood of issuing one.

Ur right they only issue the visa if they r in mood!! August ppl got pp back before June n July ppl
N according to forum nobody got ppr after eid :s

Well most of the fraud cases r from china n India n their timeline isn't as long as pakistan
Also If they r facing so many frauds they should b able to figure out who's committing frauds n who's not!

as my addres on ECAS is not showing consaltants address as it was before i applied
