CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

Congratulations to everybody who are being contacted by CHC Islamabad. But From The Last 4 Weeks Did Anybody Got Passport Back With Visa?
If the answer is NO then, it means in CHC Islamabad only our Pakistani staff is working and THERE IS NO REAL CANADIAN OFFICER IN CHC ISLAMABAD.

Today in regular post my wife recieved a mail form CHC. In it they asking us to fill out some forms (IMM0008, IMM5406). They also ask for re-pcc and CSQ (since im a quebecer). Along with some of my info such as employment and canadian information (my billings, taxes ect). They gave me 45 days to complete this inshAllah. Odd thing is it came from regular post that was "registered" means came in a day.

Anyone else go through this?

As salaam o alaykum everyone! Ramadan Mubarak to you and your families. I have come back to this site after a long time. There has been no change in the status of my file. I have not voluntarily sent any information since I applied for the first time on March 16, 2012. Last month in June, I had my MP inquire on the status and she relayed this message to me:

"I contacted CIC Montreal – which is the dept for MP's to complete inquiries. It is my understanding that this application was received in July 24, 2012. It is also my understanding that the processing times are 12 months... right now they are working on the medicals – everything looks good on the file. Should you have not heard anything by the end of August, early September please let me know and I will complete another inquiry- then Montreal can send an email to the processing office. Right now we are stuck given that the processing times have not passed. I know that this is frustrating – However please be assured that I will help you when I can, in this case September 2013."

I would like to hear your comments on this. Please do look at my timeline. Also, do I have to submit inquiry for GCMS notes since I am getting feedbak through my MP?

Agreed with you! PAFSO members are on strike even in Isb embassy. My husband talked to some 1 in embassy on phone.

My application was submitted on Sept 2012, to sponsor my wife any idea when I will get my second AOR from Islamabad or my wife's application number.

I posted this question a while ago and as far as I know nobody has replied to it yet so I will ask it again.

Does the processing time start when you submit your application here in Canada or does it start when the receive your application in Islamabad?

I think when ur file reach to isl/ottawa
then ur processing time has been started

As for the rest of you if you have more info my goodness send it to them. Any new photos especially screen shots take one every day you chat on line. you can take a screen shot from any chat whether its yahoo or skype after maybe 20 days send it to them along with any visits, money sent phone bills. Because after a year we all gather a lot we keep files but the more you send to them keeps you out of the interview queue. Not that the interview is bad but I rather they have all the info in hand because if you go there for an interview they usally don't take what you have brought like to prove yr relationship. So its more wise to send it before that happens.
Some cases will be approved before 31 months but not all. This is their way of slowing down their work load and making us all go crazy!!!

I do agree that it helps if you send the information on proof of relationship but the only thing I would dare to add here is .......... if you have already been issued medical, DO NOT SEND any more proof of relationship because it will trigger another review of the case which means another que. The best time to send additional proof of relationship is before the INITIAL REVIEW which you can learn by ordering GCMS notes, an ex-employee of CHC-ISB Immigration unit told me about it.

My complete application with medical was received by CIC on Dec 21,2011 with the federal approval received by my husband on Feb 18, 2012 and my CSQ on Feb 28,2012. Ours was a nikah case and we sent all the proof including telephone bills,emails,photographs etc. Now my rukhsati has taken place in Feb 2013 and i have my photos ready to send..so should i mail them to Islamabad? The latest i know is that my file had been transferred to Islamabad after being in Ottawa for a year with no progress on it being made there. We have also ordered GCMS notes earlier this month so waiting to know what progress has been made.

Please clarify my confusion,if my file is put in another queue for further review then that will take ages again!

Best case scenario, wait for the arrival of notes. Notes, arrive in 30days since applied. This will give you exact detail of where your file is currently. Then you can proceed accordingly. If on the other hand, your are in a hurry, you can send copies to both Ottawa along with Islamabad.

I am about to send my long due Rukhsati proof. I need help with few things. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

- A sample Cover Letter
- Do I need to put my UCI and/or Case Number on front of the envelope? It will be on the cover letter inside anyway, is that good enough?
- Most reliable service to send things from Lahore to Islamabad (TCS?)
- Does it matter if the call invoices are from both sponsor and the applicant? Or it can only be from the applicant?

My wife is July 2011 Case at CHC-ISL. Remedical at Dec2012.

I was arranging additional proof for the last 2 days to send at CHC-ISL as per STUPID MP SUGGESTION. They are working on background check for the last 4 months. I guess they will drag my case for 31 month.

I don't see any better option than WAIT.
