in my wild dream :)
Recently husband killed her wife after landed in Canada 4 months ago. This is worst case scenario of domestic violence.
Individual who is being sponsor, must understand the culture differences between here and there.
I just only say one thing to everyone who is coming to Canada soon, please lower your expectation otherwise you will get disappointed.
These are few things which are difficult to accept and/or digest:

If your doctor there than don’t expect that you will be doctor here too.

2. Your spouse may have alots of friends before meeting you, so after coming here and seeing your spouse chatting with a male or female is not mean that they have some kind of relationship or cheating on you. They may be high school, college and work place friend. Please don’t jump to conclusion and start question your partner’s behavior. This is the most common issue which destroys relationship. If there is no trust in relationship, it will fall apart very fast.

3. I know that at back home male are dominate figure in family but here things are different and you must understand and accept it before you learn it in hard way. Females have more rights than male counterpart and it’s a fact.

4. Finally, people who born or growth up in Canada have different set of demands when it’s come to partnership life, so please try to understand and compromise until you settle well in a new culture.

Most of you guys might be disagree with my saying right now, but things will come up once you start living with each other for a while. In other words, once the honeymoon period is done than things will start to change.

I don’t meant to offend anyone or hurt anyone’s feeling in this forum, but I am just trying to shed light on reality.

You have given some great advises.
However, it's not easy for the majority of people coming to
Canada to change the way they are trained to think in Pakistan.
Most people have this attitude about ek bar Canada chalay jaye na
fir baki sub kuch sochay gay or dekhay gay.
For all those who think marriage life is easy and all pink,
I feel they are all very lucky and blessed.
May Allah protect everyone.
