Its been 8 months today since the passport has been requested and I found out that the background checks are STILL in process. I cant wait any longer. I am jobless and have opportunities elsewhere. I want to get my passport back for that purpose.Is there anyone on the forum who has retrieved a passport back? Will this have a negative impact on my case? If anyone has any idea please let me know. I am utterly desperate here.

Background chks even aftr ppr! Now normal is dat? Or rarely in some cases?
But looking at ur timeline....u were askd to submit pp only aftrr a month of askng additionsl proofs...dat is very unusual...n besides case was filled in oct 2011 ur medical wads done lets say in oct 11..dat means it was expired in oct 2012..u werent askd to redo it....
My case was filled in oct 2011 few days before urs...n in every step i had a gape of 3-4 months....i was askd to do re medical in nov 2012...n askd to submitt p in march 2013.......ur timeline is very different

Can you kindly share the exact number of weeks between your Re-PCC/PPR and receipt of visa? Did it take exactly a month or more than that? Also, did you have to provide the police certificates for more than one city in Pakistan?

Question

the address i have given them was islamabad when i filed my application. THEN in dec 2012, right after my wife left, FoR canada(came to visit me ) i found a job in lahore from dec 2012 i have benn living in lahore AND I HAVENT UPDATED THIS INFO TO THE EMMBASSY (OTTAWA AND/OR ISLAMABAD)

MY CONSALTANT WHICH I HATE THE MOST IS SAYING YOU DONT NEED TO DO ANY THING

Hi,

My husband got re-pcc and PPR together in the end of february--it took him around 2 weeks to get PCC from 2 cities of Pakistan so he sent pcc and pp around 10 or 11 March and i think received pp back end of March... (sorry i dont remember the dates) i will provide the dates after confirming it with my hubby.
