if not u have to wait till baby is born n no he will not be a Canadian, u have to get him birth certificate n passport from CHC so the baby can travel to canada wit its mother.

I think child born outside of Canada will be Canadian provided one of his/her parents is Canadian (First generation rule will be applicable though)

I am simple MBA and I want to pursue Accountant as a profession in Canada. Can I appear (online) in all exams of CGA while living in Pakistan>? or only Tax & Law exams?

Ali, you should check out the CGA website to see if you are eligible for any exemptions. I only had to do tax and law course because I am already a accountant and have qualified but for you I think you will need to do full thorough exams...I am sure you can start studying for them while in Pakistan but I am not sure if you can appear for your exams until you are in Canada. I would advise you to look at the CGA website to first see if you get any exemptions based on your degree and if not then you should start studying for it and once in Canada you can start appearing for exams. Keep in mind you will also need 3 years of work experience in Finance/Accounting to become a full member once you have finished all the exams.

Are you sure?? Coz m confused with the dates. Cic says my file has been transferred on 7th feb 2012..so y are they showing 14 dec 2011 under Permanent Residence App status ?

Hey masoud, If Pakistan is so bad than why are you allowing your wife to stay in Pakistan? Wouldn't it be nice that if she moves back to Afghanistan? It will be safer for her there. If I were you I wouldn't allow my wife to stay in such a "currupt" country.

Instead of bashing Pakistan in immigration forum, why not simply shift your wife to Afghanistan or India?

I don't mind my Afghanistani brother and sister living in my country. But if they bash Pakistan on every occasion than one must wonder why they are still living there? Offcourse you were not forced to live in Pakistan.
Living in Pakistan (for foreigners) is a privilege. Same like us living here in Canada. If we don't like Canada we are more than welcome to move out of here. Same applies to you. Don't like Pakistan. Just move out. simple is that.

And I would suggest again to move your wife to Afghanistan as living in Pakistan ( "A very dangerous country") may impact on your son personality.
And lastly as we say in urdu "a gairat mund" husband won't allow his wife to live in such undesireable place. So please move back.

Im a pashtun afghan, n i have lots of pakistani friends. Before we offend other countries we should realize we were born muslims first. Thats all that matters.

I believe, there isn't anything that could facilitate you writing exams on-line. I suggest visiting CMA & CGA websites to get further insights though. However, you consider pursuing CMA or ACCA there in Pakistan to be able to get exemptions from CMA Canada or CGA based respectively based on their respective MOUs. This way, you will save some time or, possibly money, by studying in Pakistan that is acceptable in Canada. However, there is a catch here, as ACCA Quebec, I understand, has cancelled its MOU with ACCA Global effective Oct/Nov 2013, with possibly other provinces to follow the same path, owing to the impending merger with CMA & CA Canada. Good Luck!

I might be a little late on this discussion, but what's the worth of ACCA on it's own? I'm an ACCA member as well but I didnt get a bachelors degree (not even Oxford Brookes), and CGA would not let me in without that. What are my options?
