I m so happy today, thanks to Allah swta so much, my wife got her passport back with visa yesterday.

My time line ;D ;D

Application was filed on Jan 11, 2012
AOR and file transfer to Islamabad March 11, 2012
Additional document April 5, 2012
Due to medical expiring on DEC 02,2012
She Got call from Islamabad on Oct 8th asked if she can make it before Medical expires. We said yes

PPR on Email Oct 10, 2012
Passports send Oct 11, 2012

Passport back with visa Nov 01 2012

Total time 9 month and few days

If people are getting visa in 9 months then why they are quoting 26 months? Your comments please!

You mean the sponsored spouse?
In my case, it's post-grad, with over 6 years of experience in three different organizations. Plus a dad, and a brother working at sensitive posts
Gives them a good enough reason to prolong my security checks, no?

salam , innocent eyez your and mine timeline are same but i havnt got any remedical or ppr you are lucky mashallah )hope we all get our visa's soon inshallah pray for me too

. WS! Did you consult with your MP about what's going on and are u the sponsor ? Husband or wife case? Inshallah u will get medical and ppr soon also order gcms notes to find out what is going on.

As per my understanding Sep2011 to Apr2012 IMMIGRATION applications are processed in Ottawa this will be quicker than CHC-I (lazy, unprofessional and annoying).

GCMS notes: Does it tell details for applicant TRV information as well. I applied for my wife during immigration and they reject it.

i dun get it .. Ottawa is doing there case and not chc? so the file is not transferring to chc thats why 2012 are done in 8-9 months

Yes some of the files randomly selected ones will go from mississauga to Ottawa rather then going to islamabad

And we dont know how much time they will take to process in ottawa .... i have not seen any ottawa pilot project applications getting their visa stamped YET ........ i may be wrong please tell me if i am
But one thing is for sure its not for everyone yet its just a pilot project so far ........ they select applications randomly to send to ottawa they do the basic processing in ottawa and send it back to islamabad for decision making officer to issue visa

I requested for GCMS notes and got them back in a week's time. I need help in understanding them ...

our notes says Security Screening and status says Cancelled ? anyone else got that on the notes... what does it mean ?

Also, for skype chats for collecting the proof of contact .. do I do a print screen shots ? :O

I have the same timeline as yours...its a wife case, I am a professional accountant and have MBA, already got my CGA for Canada while sitting here but havent even gotten a remed request yet...my file got transferred 25th Jan 2012
