CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2009 -2010

Decided to apply for CAIPS... been 1 month since re-medical was done with no word. Wish we were as lucky as those who received PPR with Re-med request, but again the complicated nature of our application is most likely the reason.

Still hopefull our application without ruhksati will be successful, but if CAIPS say otherwise, we will have to make preparations to go to Pakistan sooner then planned :-\

I think because his wife is an immigration officer, that has an effect and probably thats what made it a special case...

Welcome to the gang bro.... Your timeline is close to mine, Wes's & big daddy's we are MAR '10 AOR
and as other members have told u there could b rePCC, reMEd & PPR eventually....
waisay have your wifey visited you after app submission if yes send the proof of her visit & a rePCC voluntarily that what I did too and yes it does help but it more the matter of luck.

My wife is living in Calgary, Canada. She submitted my documents in 2010.I received a letter from the CHC Islamabad on March 02, 2010, that they start processing my application.After a year later on March 08, 2011 they informed me in the reply of my email that
"My application is currently in process and is in queue for review. Background checks are over for this application".

After the last email on March 08, 2011. I have not received any email from CHC Islamabad.
Do anyone tell me that what's the next process?
How much more time does CHC Islamabad take?

Koi Karachi main gathering kare to hamein zaror batai (june k month main). One of my friend from Toronto is getting married in June 25 in Karachi, I just told him to get ready to wait nearly 2 years for your wife to get the visa, he was very dishearted.

The letter replied Jani has received (Page 1093) from minister office. As per that letter it is mentioned files completed on 1st come 1st serve base. Also medical & background check is done on every person entered in Canada. Also all the other non-sencse link was provided which indicate there roles standar and policy quality.

Is it not smell fishy at CHC that applicants from March/April/May/June are waiting to hear somthing and they skipped all these case and right pick the July AOR and issue the remedical along with PPR without even asking to refill IMM forms. As per background check policy imagine how fast they have finish the background in this case.

I wounder If they can finish the background that fast and skipp the IMM form to refill for every case. That way in refilling IMM forms 45 days can be saved PLUS another 2 months can be saved for them to open the envelop for filling.
This shows the delay is being done intentionally and purposly otherwise If they want to finish the case they can still do in less than 12 month.

A friend of mine got in touch with the media regarding the ridiculously long spousal visa processing times at CHC-Islamabad. He got a positive response from CBC, who have assigned the renowned journalist Muhammad Lila to this potential story. Muhammad got in touch with my friend and asked him if he could get a number of people who're going through this ordeal and set up a meeting with him. So far there are three of us who are taking the lead on this initiative, but obviously, having a larger group of people will send a much stronger message i.e. the delays are not isolated, but widespread.
I should add a disclaimer that this would most likely NOT affect our cases in a positive way since most of us are a year or more into the process anyway and the process won't change overnight. But the hope is, inshaAllah, that this will bring the issue to light and hopefully prompt the ministry to take action to improve the process for future cases.
So, I'm looking for people who might be interested in taking part in this initiative -- preferably those from the GTA area, but others are welcome too. What we're planning to do is to gather a decent-sized group and set up a meeting with Muhammad Lila in a couple of weeks. I see this forum as the perfect place to get this kind of support. Although I'm a relatively new "member", I've been following this thread for a while now and am impressed by people's attitude and resolve.

If you're interested, please send me an email at m @ hameeds.net (I still haven't figured out the Inbox thing here) with your name and rough location. Once we have a few people, we'll get in touch with Muhammad and try to organize the meeting. We're hoping to get around 20 - 30 people inshaAllah.

well nothing special... my wife is a canadian immigration officer in Calgary Airport. i guess she keep emailing to CIC ISB .. we got married in dec 2009 and since that time she travel 3 times to pakistan. we sent them voluntery phone call history and and pcc every 6 months....
