So I emailed CHC-I last night regarding our mar 10, 2011 response to re-pcc and supple forms that our mail needs to be opened and attach to our file for review and thats what they responded within overnight. Good job by CHC-I on email response.

CHC-I response this morning (May 20 2011):

Thank you very much for the last reply.
As per your last response (attached below) and CAIPS notes, they don't mention that you have received our response to your Feb XX 2011 request for RE-PCC and supplementary forms.
We have sent all your requested documents in the beginning of March 2011 with courier service (GERRY'S) with the tracking number XXXXXXXXX.
As per Gerry's website (www.visadropbox.com) you have received it on Thursday March XX, 2011.
It has been over 2 months since our response to your requested documents and as per CAIPS the bring forward date for our file was April 16, 2011.
We would greatly appreciate it if you would please attach our response with our file as soon as possible for further review.

It looks like 2 months is the standard for them to get the mail and put it with the file :'( hai Allah kia karoon, yeh waiting time to increase hoti ja rahi hain

Salam baigt, well I don't think visiting iran/iraq would effect your case unless you spend more than 6 months there. If you do visit for more than 6 months make sure you bring back Police Clearnce Certificate with you because CHC-I will ask for that later. If its just a normal visit, you shouldn't worry about it too much.

Don't worry about crazy MP NOT doing their filing the right way!! Same happend with me when I went to MP the second time. She said "have you been here before cause I don't have your hubby's file#"!!! Keep sending them your hearty emails at least once a month and forget about giving them MPs time to settle...go bug them ;D

I took my hubby to Toronto downtown yesterday. I was so hungry so I saw this store with HALAL sign on it and went inside saw the certificate and ordered! When we were done eating, I started conversation with the owner and finaly he said "for me heart is important!! who follows 100% of Islam to follow Halal or no Halal??" F**king owner sh*t with false certificate I realy do hate how people are using the work Halal to make money may allah burn their a*s in hell!!!!

OMG astagfirullah, isn't there a way to report that person? That is just sickening that they would take advantage of that and use fake certificate. They are deceiving so many Muslims imagine how many go in there and eat thinking it is halal but never find out because the owner doesn't tell them I think you need to find out if it is possible to let someone know about that fraud.

Well here in Ottawa we don't have many halal places anyway except our Pakistani restaurants and now a few pizza pizzas have halal chicken toppings and nandos is halal and one KFC..otherwise nothing here. And yes you are right I should in fact I am going to bug my MP on Monday start of the week and keep bugging him to help me, this is nonsense taking 2 months to put some documents in peoples files.

more information letter 30 days!!
non-genuine marriage 45 days!!

Question: can we request ans extension to that response, or we have to reply within the allotted time frame!

I think it is best to stick to the allotted time frame but you could always email them and find out if they will extend it. I haven't seen anyone going over the timeline so I am not sure.

If u have a good reason for extension of the time like i have requested my husband pcc from united states of america n they r taking 40 day to give it us but on the letter it says i have to comply within 30 days so i mailed them receipt of the pcc n tracking number showing that i have already applied n would submit it once i get it..
so like if u a genuine reason n a prove with u then u can...

I agree with mahmed17's response. Most people are so eager to answer them back that they don't ask for extension. Its good if you can reply with-in the time frame but if you submit it late without informing them than there is a chance they might use it against you and claim that they never received your response so they made a decision with all the information they had in hand at that time (even though they will take 2.5 months to open your mail). So do your best to respond with-in or have a good reason when you ask for extension.

If you think you are just going to be late a week or something its ok, because they also understand the delay in mail and other situations. But if its going to be like 2+weeks then you might want to email them and give them a valid reason for why you want the extension...
