Most of the questions have been answered just to add to Danny's post that the cost of delivery in Canada without a health plan is:

$10,000 to $30,000 for a simple delivery
$30,000 to $50,000 for a complicated delivery

If you are a Canadian citizen then your child would automatically be a citizen if he/she is born in Pakistan; all you have to do then is apply for his/her passport/traveling document, but if you are a PR then you must add your child to your wife's application as your dependent which would then delay the process as others have mentioned.

I would like to add one more thing regarding the cost of Hospitalisation and pregnancy, my friends wife was on Visit visa here and she got the health card and all hospitalization was covered in it. This may be strange for some people but it happened.

My in-laws backhome received both ‘Re-medical examination' and ‘Passport Request' letter from CHC-Islamabad. (Finally Alhamdulillah) But My wife is residing with me now in Canada on a TRV Visa, and we are expecting a child soon Insha'Allah in 3 months. There might be a possibility that DMP will not take X-RAY, Will the X-RAY from the previous medical examination be considered? OR CHC-Islamabad will wait for X-RAY after delivery? In that case, it may delay the visa issuance.

Secondly CHC-Islamabad letter 'Passport Request' states "If we do not receive your passport(s) within fifteen (15) days we will presume that you are no longer interested in proceeding to Canada and your file will be closed" which contradicts another point in the same letter "Please submit your passport after completing medical". And 'Request for Remedical' letter states "If you do not book an examination within 30 days, or fail to undergo an examination, we will assume that you are no longer interested in proceeding to Canada and will refuse you Canada". ahhh! I am lost here, Since I am aboard and courier will take times, I need to make which one is the correct deadlines, any ideas? To me it seems like they are putting pressures but I don't want to ignore it at the same time.

Any guidance/links on courier-management for passports?

When we are submitting the documentation along with the passport - is there any documentation that we need to submit as a proof of my wife re-medical exam?

Your wife need to sign a consent form and can go for X-ray examination, but its up to you and your DMP advice...

yes u can send dat " a lil smaller pic than normal pp size." i hav send this size pic as well with my ppr form...n i got a call when CHC recieved my passport....n there is no issue with the pic size.

i have sent my passport yesterday but i didnt get any call from them whether they received my pp.. plzzzzzzzzzzzz tell why?? did they not recieve it???? HOW CAN I CHECK PLZ TELL

no it didnt disappear in oct but it did for a week in sep.

How did u send ur passport? Was it TCS or FedEx? Either case they have a thing called tracking number, u can check ur shipment online and track it!
