Hmm well, the update is that myself, khan sis, humaumair and a few more have received visa already, and lots have received PPRs or news about getting PPR.

Hey! thank u so much on the mubarak for itikaaf. Well thats great news that so many have received thr visa's I mailed my address change request right before itikaaf...No changes made though : should i resend?

aor aug 2009
re pcc april2010
initial review sept 2010
imm forms + supplementary forms feb 2011
remed + ppr may 2011
re pcc request ( got to know from mp....no official letter....re pcc sent july 2011)
my first baby born in canada aug 2011
request for birth certificate sept 2011 (through email) BIrth certificate sent sept 2011 first week.
now again waiting
been 4+mmonths since sent my hubbys pp

any comments /suggestions as y is it taking so long for them to stamp my hubbys pp?
and why they r doing this?
been in contact with mp....she is helping but when she contacts embassy she gets to everything is complete and there is no hold on file and its just matter of days....this is reply i m getiing since july 2011

what should i do now? is it ok for them to keep the pp for so many months? should i contact any lawyer...?
my hubby has a very straight frwd case.....no visits anywhere ...always lived at one plce...

Okay.. There is a couple of possiblities here. It seems like they keep moving your file from one queue to another queue. The best thing right now would be to stop updating them about everything unless its address change. Do you know if they ran another background check on your husband's file?

yes i know they havent started background checks...as told by my mp
like i said mp was told everything is clear and there is no hold on file ....even she was laughing kay aisa kisi ka nae hua and i m unaable to understand wat to do....finally at last she sent a letter signed by her to review the file asap...thts all

sis that is very strange..did u apply for caips ? it scares me to think that they can do whatever they want to do and get away with it and nobody can say or do anything :S

tht is just weird .. have u emailed them yourself..asking them why it is taking soo long for them to return the passport.

Email Ross Hynes (Embassdor) in a nice breifly manners but do cover every point. Make him aware of this and ask for help/assistance if as you mentioned it is a simple case.

the first 2 times i got the reply for status updates
the third email i sent included tht its been four months for the pp to be with them and included everything....no reply on tht..

sent email to prime minister...no reply
ordered caipes....same reply as one 2 ka four got....

My wife did it online i mean in ecase she update the address . We didnot send any letter to CHC or CIC.

Ok that's different then. I had updated my address online as well and it took them a few weeks to update it. Hopefully they are also reviewing your file at the same time too as updating.

tht sounds like they r deliberately trying to delay it

u mentioned something about sending ur hubby's pcc with the pp..maybe it is because of that ?

You mean you received the same response on CAIPS "Consultation is required to comply before releasing requested access information" thus required 60 days extention.
