I've been a silent reader on this forum, but thought I'd comment after reading Wish he was here's post.

This forum has been helpful and informative. It's the best way to see where you stand in the whole process when you compare your application with others. The support being delivered here is excellent - so many prayers and wishes all around. It's nice to know you're not alone. I can't imagine others who are not following a forum may be going through. How do they keep informed (I guess by emailing CHC every week).

I'm glad to have found this forum and I wish everyone the best for their cases and for their future.

The day will come when we look back at this time and laugh, but I know we all want to just forget it once cases are solved.

My poor husband gets the blunt of it, which isn't good for the relationship so I seek a friends ear but whenever I try venting with friends, at the end of it I feel sheepish and silly, like a child crying over a lost toy. The're no help. *sigh* Posting here, everyone here understands one another's situation and can empathize. I'm so happy I stumbled onto this forum while googling for answers.

fna786 I totally understand. Its been 20 months since I got married and in July it'll be 2 years. I wish I could visit him, unfortunately I can't, some reasons.
Every now and then I've been having emotional meltdowns and I've been unable to share how I felt with anyone. Those I shared it with didn't understand or cared. I don't want to harp about it with my husband much because I think its unfair that he listen to me cry and whine about it daily. He has his own fair share of stress. Inshallah soon we'll be with our spouses.

What humtum143 (below) posted gives me some ray of hope. I hope/pray CHC-isb start working faster on our processes. This is wishful thinking, but I pray/hope I get to see him by the end of this summer and not at the end of this year or God forbid in 2012 according to that silly 21 months.

Starting From tomorrow all level 4 employees from CHC ISB will be working every weekend until the end of the month for a first quarter final.----- Good news

Decision Making officer will not work the weekends.

family class for parents maybe transferred to Dubai but the project is not certain waiting to be confirmed------Lets wait anyways this will help Spousal time-line reduction but its not confirmed.

starting march spousal and family reunification policy will have changes--what are the changes We don't know but its been brought up that spousal case cannot exceed more then 12 months in the future----will the congress approve to it---i don't know we have to wait till end of march---I hope inshallah it those happen.

an audit maybe conducted on CHC ISB again i dont know the date but the audit as per the congress was asking why are the Salary of some employees in CHC ISB is exceeding average Canadians salary---- average salary expected by CIC to CHC ISB rs85,000 Month and the Actual average is rs 120,000 a month WHAT A RIPE OFF THEY ARE MAKING Good money.

Now and the last under Media section Because Media scares the shyt out of everyone...Starting soon I don't know yet when who ever Lands in Canada will have to Fill a questioner and explain the experience they add during the processing of the case what could be improved.

its takes anywhere from 3 - 6weeks. No gaurantees, when they will stamp and send it back. It depends on their work load when they get to it.

Some people got their passport back in 8 days, some got in 14 days and few are still waiting over 35 days. You never really know when you will get it! doesn't your passport get mailed to you in Afghanistan? if it doesn't, call or email the visa office and tell your situation! or tell your spouse to ask for advice from the mp.

You make a really good point. I was thinking about that. hmmm... My husband prefers phone calls or skype over e-mails and feels that he can better express himself more using those mediums. His e-mails are very simple, ie how are you, how is everyone, love you and missing you - Husband. My e-mails to him tend to be long and expressive. I'm too impatient to wait til we talk and I tend to have a lot to say and share. I send him a few a day sometimes. Man I sound clingy lol. But the main reason why e-mail number is so high is that while I'm surfing on the internet and I find something interesting, news, website etc. I share it with him via e-mail. Should I discard those and just declare the actual "real e-mail" count?

I'll ask him if he can send me a more and I'll try to send him less to make it even a little.

sister, you are just like my wifey 10000%...lol...she also sends me too many emails in a day while I just send her 1-2 ...it sounds good that my wife's not the only one crazy after hubby ...once she picks up my call (phone or skype) she will start speaking like anything ;D...giving kisses through the phone and what note...OMG now I sound clingy ;D...I think this is an invaluable thing a desi hubby is blessed with...we guys are soooo lucky to have wives who love us more than anything
yes sis, it seems great idea to discard those "forwarded" emails and keep the "original" ones...you can also make folders and keep them there instead of having them deleted from your account altogether...another important thing is send them 2-3 emails of yours (showing full content)...and do have a look if any of them contains any off the line things...

Basically my wife received a call from the TCS office to pick up her passport with the visa stamped on it .... It took 2 weeks
She sent is on Feb 23 2011 and received it March 8 2011.
