US embassy was also use to do this even for visit visa,,in 2008 they kept my mom's passport for 6 month,,even she was 60+ ,,people was saying that its because of her saudia stays but its not reality my father lived in saudia more then my mom and he was doing job over there but they return my father's passport just after 6 days,,so i think they pick random PP for clearness

I Agree it's nothing to do with being pakistani, Singapore is same as pakistan my uncle has sponsored his wife from singapore and they have her passport since November 2nd 2011.

You may like to make copies of all pages of Passport and get those Notarized in Canada before you send it to CHC, they actually want to determine your length of stay and ongoing financial ability to sponsor your wife. Forms and PCC are standard, other than that its a T4 time so you may like ot attach one for 2012 along with a job letter and most recent pay stub in addition to a balance statement from your bank. I assume you are a PR not a Citizen

1. I have three passport from which 2 are expired , do I have to send expired passport copies too?
2. Im sposoring my wife and 9 month old child, how much my income should be to qualify?

We did filled these forms before there is one new form which is supplementary form for pakistani national

My hubby received his passport today me so happy it almost took 26 Months his case would have been done early but due to some problem going on with july re-medicals thts y he received his pp late.

i would lyk to thxs qamalik N wes786 for being helpful.

i wish jaania,became-a-loner,R-Mujagni,sabii,impulsive,mera kawab,canadian bear case will b done soon Inshallah.

lastly i wanna say b patience its nothing to do with CIC its all about ur documents how u sended N what proofs u sending them N at what tym.
