Just an update of my wifes file. Today we received a reply to our email that we sent to CHC-ISB 10 days ago, pretty generic as I've read this format on the forum many times.

Dear Client,

This is in response to your email (see below).

Your application is currently in process and is in queue for review by an immigration officer. Documents were received from applicant's end on 13 Dec 2011.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Please note that we will be unable to reply to messages which do not include either the name AND date of birth of the primary applicant or the file number under which your application is being processed.

We submitted documents of my visit to see my wife and pictures of our ruhksati at the end of November. She has been in que for an interview since May 2011.
Inshallah the review is a positive sign, with this being the first step in having her interview cancelled as has been the case for others in a similar situation as us.

seems to me they are working on feb march cases left from 2010. and files in interview qeue. have sent my passport since nov last got a relpy on jan 18th saying file in que to b reviewd by immigration officer. wonder when that is going to be...? :
