I need an information, if anyone can please advice me about that.
My home telephone # in Pakistan has changed and I was thinking that my wife send CHC-I a signed letter by FAX for the update.
My wife's file was transfered in CHC-I in February 2011. Someone wrote on this Forum that Background checks are under way for January and February files. I was wondering, would it be a good idea to inform them now or this might further delay my wife's case as and updating telephone number might casue in 2nd Background checks . . . . Thanks.

You can write a letter address to chc and sponsered name, date of birth, file number etc, and write in a letter that your number is changed now and give them new number as they will update your phone number in E-cas to, and i dnt think updating telephone numbers info could do another back ground checks, you dont know now your background checks is going or not.

She can still update them as it seems like they wouldn't start initial reviews for Dec file transfers for the next 4-6 weeks. So might as well update them now before they reach feb 2011 file transfers.

Did you get your Re-PCC and Forms update request in 2011? If not, then your file would probably be in line for initial review. If you want you can order CAIPS to find out the activity on your file.

I think your 2nd background checks are underway. Don't worry once your background checks are over, they will send you the remedical and then later PPR. Its hard to say how much more time they would take for the background check as it depends on many factors. So just email them and ask for the status of your application.
