Salam everyone,

I was wondering, is it worth it to go to the embassy if you go visit pakistan? I'm planning on going sometime in September and was thinking should I go to Islamabad and try to book an appointment with them ahead of time. Do you think it'll be wort the side trip?

Suggestions, ideas?

Updates: my husband got remedical request last week.

Also congrats to all who got ppr, landed in Canada and any other good news. I haven't been on, just too much going on in life so can't come on often.

Please i have request who has landed to Canada(Toronto) or Anywhere in canada.Please share your experince of your landed and how your treated on Airport,,,and whats Questions Immigration office asked you. I think one of User can Create Fourm like " ImmiGration Landed Experince Canada"who has come to canada please share your thougts,,,,,Advise give to others,,they are in quque and waiting for Visa to come Canada.Thts why they can get information about you,, I hope you all like this Idea.thts would be nice,its just came in my mind and share with all.

Nousheen you are almost done with your case, so no need to order CAIPS unless you want to see the language. It take 4-5 weeks to process the CAIPS notes and I am hoping by that time you will have your PPR.

By the way yourtime line is very close to mine.

yeah just wait for now, if you don't hear anything for another month then do it; otherwise I think your process is pretty much done so no need to panic

Average time is anywhere from 12 to 20 months and some even go longer someone today received his Passport Request after 30 Months! But once the remedical is requested then you know that its getting closer to the end.

A few people have landed already Jia & Miximus and they mentioned that immigration and customs were no more than 5 minutes. Few general questions such as who sponsored you, and the address you will be living at. They need to know the address becuase thats where they will send the PR card, and just a few general custom questions and thats it. Hope it helps, its no different than someone who travels on a regular basis...

Hello, I have a question about Medical. Can some one please tell me what are the tests/exams are done during the medical of a spouse. I just want my wife to have her all the tests done before she goes for actual medical. Your help is highly appreciated. Thanks

This is straight copy from the medical letter received from the embassy!

- Complete medical examination - for persons of all ages.
- Chest X-ray and report - for all persons 11 years of age and over (and others if there are concerns of TB in the family).
- Uninalaysis including microscopic examination - for persons 5 years of age and over.
- Syphilis serology - for persons 15 years of age and over.
- HIV testing for persons 15 years of age and over, children who have received blood or blood products or who have a known HIV positive mother. If the first test is positive, a second confirmation test must be done at the expense of the applicant.

It is possible that after the completion of your medical examination and submission of reports, further tests or reports may be requested. You will be advised accordingly.

A few people have tried to go in the embassy and they have said that they don't let you talk to any of the immigration officers. They will only answer general questions. I have also heared that if you are not a Canadian Permanent Resident or Citizen they won't let you inside the embassy unless you are going for an interview. Correct me people if I am wrong but I thought someone posted this info a while ago

Bro, they can do anything as they have all the power and authority that nobody can challenge. Just Pray, Pray and Pray, and if your case is genuine, Inshallah one day you will have it. I know two cases where they took 4+ years to complete the case. Looking their cases, I find myself really blessed and lucky.

And yet again my wife's address & phone# has disappeared from the CIC website application status page. Everytime this happens she receives a request letter after a week or so. I hope they are requesting her PPR letter this time

I know this is just an assumption but ok let me live in my dreams

Can everyone who recently went through remedical check the online status and see if this is happening to them aswell or just me. Make sure you check the status using "APPLICANTS" info and NOT the "sponsor's" Lets figure this out and solve this puzzle.
