You should have a return ticket when you enter, just in case CBSA asks. Many people just buy a one way ticket here and a separate fully refundable one way ticket back.

For you to stay as a visitor, no, he doesn't need to do anything. For you to stay as a PR, yes, he most definitely has to do paperwork.

The medical can be done anywhere in the world as long as it's done by a Panel Physician.

You'll have to look into the specific requirements for PCCs you need.
And I won't get PR until my application is accepted correct?

Does it matter a lot how long you've been married? Will they think the relationship is not genuine if uou apply soon after getting married?

Also would you recommend getting a representative? Ibe read that it's totally doable without one, but I'm just scared I will get stuck if there is a question I don't know how to answer?
And in the application forms, there is a section for the sponsored persons family, is it necessary to fill it out with all my family members, where they have travelled and their criminal records, if they're not going with me to Canada?

You get PR when the app is approved.

Applying right after gettin married is fine, as long as you have plenty of relationship evidence from before the wedding.

No, I don't recommend getting a representative. If you have questions, this forum will be able to answer them.

In the application, "family members" refers to the applicant's spouse and children who aren't already Canadian citizens/PRs. You are required to list other relatives on the Additional Family form.

I have a question
If I decide to go to Canada to be with my boyfriend for a period of 5-6 months, and we decide to get married after 3, and I take his last name, how would we apply for the Family Sponsorship Class?
Since my name will be different from the name on my passport, and I can't get a new passport while I'm in Canada, will I have to go all the way back home, get a new passport and then come back to apply?
Or is there another way to do it, where I can stay in Canada?

Also if I stay in Canada as a visitor, apply for an open work permit with the family sponsorship application, I will have implied status right?
Which province you would be staying in Canada with your boyfriend?

So wait, the additional family is only children and the spouse?

Would skype logs, pictures, pictures of for example us video calling, and stuff like that be enough?

Looks like you are from India.

So, to answer your question, as we have Indian Missions in Canada and you have a valid visa when you entered Canada, you can apply to change your name by visiting BLS office nearby. Your Indian Passport would be renewed to reflect your new surname. I am not sure though if renewing your Indian Passport will invalidate the Canadian visa that you have obtained on your old passport as Passport would be cancelled. You need to check with CIC or an Immigration lawyer before you do all this.

2nd Option: Just apply with your name at birth (unless you have changed it after) for immigration(PR), I suppose you can but check with local immigration lawyers etc regarding this. Once you get your PR, contact Vital Statistics to change your name and after that get your PR card, sin card, drivers license, health card changed on your new name and on the same side apply to change your name to renew your Indian Passport.

My scenario: I didn't have a surname on my Indian passport. When I landed in Canada(Vancouver) as a PR, i applied for name change by visiting vital statistics agency and then got my pr card, sin card, drivers licence, health card etc changed to reflect my new name. After I changed my name, I also applied to renew my indian passport to reflect my new name.

My wife sponsored me and she applied for my immigration using her name at birth and then once i got my surname added then she changed her surname and use my surname now.

Please read my previous post. "Family members" are spouse and dependent children of the applicant that are not already Canadian citizens or PRs.

The Additional Family form requests information on other relatives.

Yes, those are good proofs.

The Additional Family form, would that be my entire family? Or just my mother and father and siblings? That's what I'm confsued about, if they want information on everyone or just a few..

The form specifies who you need to list.

Please ignore my previous posts as it might not be relevant to you as I thought you are from India and also my name change was a "Legal change of name" and not because of marriage. Your case is change of name after marriage. Please read the following limited information that I can think of:

As I have no expertise in regards to your country , If you are already in BC, Canada, I suppose there might be a Denmark embassy in Vancouver. Please check with them to see what options they have available for you to change your name after marriage. If you are in Denmark right now, visit your nearest Passport office and enquire the details about name change after marriage

Please check the following link that might be helpful for you:
